Abstract

Teachers’ professionalism in educational institutions is of very importance because it is impossible that learning will run well and obtain satisfactory results if the teachers are not professional. Professionalism is even the key to the development of educational institutions in order to be able to run well. How is the portrayal of the development of MIM 10 Karang Angar? To answer this question, this study was conducted using a qualitative approach. The data were collected by means of observation, interviews and documentation techniques. This study concluded that the effort made by the regional leader of Muhammadiyah 10 Rejang Lebong in developing this educational institution was by restructuring the school ranging from the school principal to competent teachers in terms of both educational qualifications and teaching experiences. This breakthrough has a positive impact on the quality of learning and development of the school until present.Keywords: Institutional development, teache’’s professionalism, quality of  education.

Abstract

This article is organized with the determination to investigate and describe how the idea of perennialism, the formative history and character of perennialism and its implementation in Islamic education. The exploration technique in this article is a subjective examination strategy. It is a kind of library examination, and the investigation of the information involves inquiry. The result is that the idea of perennialism suggests a message about the presence of perennial status in values and standards. Perennialism is definitely not another school of thought. Perennialism in schools was persuaded by the philosophical ideas of Aristotle, Plato, Thomas Aquinas at the time. The figures of perennialism are:  Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Frithjof Schuon, the two figures above are figures that will generally last. With respect to its implementation in the realm of Islamic education, it can be found in the objectives of Islamic teaching, the duties of instructors and members of instruction, Islamic school education plans, learning techniques and assessments.
