Abstract

Hypertension and elevated cholesterol are two continuous conditions. Cholesterol level in the body is one of the most important factors to determine a person's risk of suffering from heart artery disease. Therefor it is necessary to provide Structured Physical Exercise in the form of regular exercise, in addition to reducing stress, it can also lose weight, burn more fat in the blood, and strengthen the heart muscle. To be able to do light exercise, you don't need to come to a special training ground, because the best program is one that you enjoy and can take place regularly. Methods: This study used a quantitative experimental method using post-test design with a control group (pretest-posttest with control group) with a sample size of 15 people. Sampling was used with purposive sampling technique using the Isac and Mikael formulas, the study was used in April 2021. Results: From the research results found in the experimental group the p value was 0.000 ≤ 0.05 and in the control group the p value was 0.001 ≤ 0.05. So it can be concluded that the experimental group gives a better effect than the control group on hypertension patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2021. Therefor it is hoped that nurses at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital can improve services in non-pharmacological fields, especially for hypertension patients who suffering from hypercholesterolemia which can be overcome by giving intervention in the form of structured physical exercise.

Abstract

The success of the coping mechanism in patients with breast cancer depends not only on early detection but also an understanding of the mechanisms that cause it. Psychological impact experienced by each patient, especially breast cancer which underwent different treatment depending on the level of severity (stage). The differences before and after being given education can affect the coping mechanism of the individual itself. One of the conditions that can cause anxiety is the process of implementing chemotherapy treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in coping mechanisms in breast cancer patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Counselling was carried out to see an increase in coping mechanisms, namely by directly informing breast cancer patients about coping mechanisms with education, distributing leaflets and analyzing data before and after education. Data analysis was performed using the Paired Sample T-Test with a confidence level of 95% and a value of α = 0.05. The results obtained from this study have shown a change in the coping mechanism of the patient before and after being given education on the application of the coping mechanism with a p-value = 0.001 (α> 0.05). In conclusion, there is an increase in coping mechanisms in breast cancer patients who are carried out according to standards, for health institutions there is a need for supervision and counselling to the public about the importance of maintaining health, especially for breast cancer patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a disease characterized by changes in the shape and consistency of stools were soft until melted and increased frequency of bowel movements than usual, which is 3 times or more a day which may be accompanied by vomiting or bloody stools. Diarrheal disease is still a global problem with the degree of morbidity and mortality are high in many countries, especially in developing countries and as one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality of children in the world. From laboratory studies and clinical trials, pure honey has bactericidal activity against several organisms that can entropathogenic, including species of Salmonella, Shigella, and E. coli. The goal of this research was to determine the effect of honey therapy to decrease the frequency of bowel movements in children aged 0-2 years who had diarrhea in district general hospitals deli serdang Lubuk pakam 2020. This research was conducted by quasi experimental research design through the design time series design , The sample in this study using the technique of sampling purvosive the number of 10 people as respondent data obtained using observation sheets and tested by t-test (paired sample t-test) and computer assistance. From the results of research conducted on 10 respondents obtained results p <α (0.005 <0.05), which describes the influence of honey therapy to decrease the frequency of bowel movements in children aged 0-2 years who had diarrhea in hospital common areas serdang deli depths Pakam. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha accepted.

Abstract

The community satisfaction index (IKM) is an indicator that can be used to measure the level of satisfaction of the community or service users through quantitative or qualitative methods by comparing expectations and needs. The value of satisfaction with the services provided will be useful in efforts to improve services and maintain services that are considered good by users. The hospital as a health institution that is directly related to the community will always need services related to the services provided in an effort to improve and service quality. Hospitals have a variety of human resources, both medical and non-medical. Nurses are medical human resources who deal directly with service users. Almost all hospital service users are in contact with nurses in getting the services available. Nurses with optimal roles, duties, functions and responsibilities will be able to provide satisfaction for service users. Services provided as a resource that is directly related to users will have a major impact on hospital institutions. Optimizing and empowering nurses by providing understanding related to training, functions and responsibilities through discussions and simulations are expected to increase the community satisfaction index. In this community service activity (PkM), there were 62 nurses as participants. Empowerment participants were given training materials, discussions and simulations to improve the services provided. PkM is carried out using pre-test and post-test methods in assessing the level of understanding of the participants. The results of the empowerment that have been carried out have shown improvements to empowered participants in terms of improving service quality. There was an increase from 29% to 68% related to the results of empowerment that had been provided through the evaluation carried out.
