Abstract

This study aims to know what factors that related to compliance with implementing the ANC in Puskesmas Waihaong Ambon 2018. This research is an analytic cross sectional with sample of 80 respondents use a technique stratified random sampling with the approach consecutive sampling. The analysis used is Chi-Square test, with the variables studied are age, parity, education, knowledge, attitudes, support of her husband, family economy and distance of antenatal service. The results showed the percentage of respondents who dutifully implement the ANC amounted to 66.25%. There was correlation between age (p=0.04), education (p=0.001), knowledge (p<0.001), attitude (p <0.001), the husband support (p<0.001) and family economy (p=0.006) with compliance implement ANC, whereas there was no correlation between the parity (p=0.193) and the distance of antenatal service (p=0.456) with compliance to implement the ANC.

Abstract

Breath-hold diving is a traditional method used by fishermen to catch fish or other sea creatures. When humans hold their breath during diving, their body will develop physiological changes generally, with regular exercise can improve lung function. Based on many studies that have reported, there’s an increase in lung function in breath-hold diving fishermen. The results of Maluku Health Profile in 2014 shows 39.90% of healthy living behavior. Unhealthy behavior affects individuals and society in health. The aim of this study is to determine the comparison of pulmonary function between breath-hold diving fishermen and non-divers fishermen with the same background of healthy behavior in Ambon City in 2018. This study uses analytical methods with cross-sectional approach using primary data of 15 breath-hold diver subyekts and 15 non-divers fishermen. Data were analyzed using SPSS and T Test indepedent. The characteristics such as age, weight, height, body mass index, blood pressure, and pulse were measured. The results of this study by measuring pulmonary function using parameters VC, FVC, and FEV1% with spirometry, obtained a mean value of lung function comparison between breath-hold diving fishermen and non-lung function fishermen in vital capacity (VC) ratio (p = 0.03) (3.48 ± 0.5 vs 3.01 ± 0.63), forced vital capacity (FVC) (p = 0.045) (2.19 ± 0.45 vs 1.84 ± 0.46), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1%) (p = 0.03) (91.46 ± 9.12 vs 83.44 ± 10.3). The lung function comparison in breath-hold diving fishermen and non-diver fishermen found that p value ≤ 0.05, so there’s a significant difference of lung function between breath-hold fishermen and non-diver fishermen. The conclusion of the research is, with the same background of life behavior, the lung function of breath-hold diving fishermen is better than non-diver fishermen. Suggestions for people can exercise breath-hold diving for underwater recreation or maintain health especially in the lung organs by studying breath-hold diving fishermen.

Based on data from the Tual City Health Office, the number of stunting cases in Tual City was recorded in 2021 as many as 308 cases and 74 cases in North Dullah District. The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of risk factors for stunting events in children aged 9-24 months in the puskesmas work area in North Dullah District of Tual City for the period 2021. This research is quantitative research, a type of observational descriptive research with a cross sectional design. The sample in this study was children aged 9 months to 24 months who experienced stunting and domiciled in North Dullah District for the 2021 period as many as 71 children and then given questionnaires to be filled out.  The data obtained is presented in the form of a table accompanied by explanations and arranged and grouped according to the purpose of the research. The results showed that in the North Dullah Health Center of Tual City, as many as 71 children aged 9-24 years experienced stunting, as many as 47 stunting children (66.2%) aged 9-24 months did not experience BBLR (not at risk), the sex of stunting children aged 9-24 months who were most found was male, namely as many as 47 children (66.2%), most children did not get exclusively breast milk, namely as many as 45 children (63.4%) and most children were immunized as many as 41.  children (57.7%). Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common diseases among adults and a leading cause of morbidity. This condition makes hypertension a significant health challenge in various countries, including Indonesia. Medication adherence is crucial for hypertensive patients in controlling their blood pressure. Research suggests that medication adherence can be influenced by a person's knowledge. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of hypertension patients and compliance in taking medication in hypertension patients at the Tutukembong Community Health Center, Tanimbar Islands Regency. This research is an analytical observational study using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study consisted of 97 individuals (hypertension patients), selected using a purposive sampling technique. Test Chi-Square generate valuep0.036, while the contingency coefficient showed a figure of 0.253. These findings indicate a significant relationship with low strength between the level of knowledge and compliance in taking medication in hypertension patients at the Tutukembong Community Health Center, Tanimbar Islands Regency. There is a significant but weak relationship between the level of knowledge of hypertension patients and compliance with taking medication in hypertension patients at the Tutukembong Community Health Center, Tanimbar Islands Regency. These results indicate that increasing knowledge alone is not enough; other approaches such as motivation, family support, regular monitoring, and other factors are needed to improve compliance in hypertensive patients.
