Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning activities were mostly carried out online. This method leaves a gap, especially in the psychomotor development of students. This study focuses on the development of a learning application. The goal of this application is to help students increase their psychomotor aspects. This research was started by getting input from teachers regarding the need for developing worksheets that support students' psychomotor development. Inputs are filtered by the following criteria; support psychomotor development, based on exploratory activities, and the balance between screen time and outdoor activities. From this input, we figure out that the main components in the application should focus on student skills, empowering the environment, column for activity output, according to context, and giving students the experience to find the basic concepts for themselves. From this input, we develop a website as a learning application. This website has four main entities; missions, explorers (students), givers (teachers who make missions), and experts (assessors) who will assess whether the mission is applicable, following the spirit of exploration, and safe. An assessment of students' responses to the application with five scales (dislike 1 – 5 like) results in the average level of liking and ease of use of users in using the application was 4.07.

Abstract

This study evaluates the potential for rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installations on village office buildings in the Lenek District, East Lombok, Indonesia, using the PLN Mobile application. The primary objectives are to assess the potential installed capacity of rooftop solar PV systems, estimate the economic and environmental impacts of their installation, and evaluate the performance of the PLN Mobile application in simulating solar PV systems. The findings reveal that the application provided generalized recommendations, with suggested capacities of 0.6 kWp and 1.32 kWp, despite variations in electricity consumption, roof orientation, and other structural characteristics. Estimated installation costs range from Rp10,452,380 to Rp26,130,952, with potential monthly savings between Rp103,464 and Rp227,620, and a uniform reduction in carbon emissions of 0.285 kg CO2 per month. While the PLN Mobile application offers valuable preliminary insights, it lacks the necessary specificity to deliver precise assessments, leading to a potential mismatch between recommendations and the actual energy needs and structural conditions of the village offices. As a result, the study concludes that more customized evaluation methods are required to optimize the installation and performance of rooftop solar PV systems in village offices.

Abstract

Drying is an essential method for preserving food materials to extend shelf life and maintain product quality. This study aims to analyze the performance of a wood briquette-fueled dehydrator in drying bay leaves (Eugenia polyantha). The research focuses on the effect of the quantity of wood briquettes on temperature stability, drying duration, and product quality. The results indicate that the amount of wood briquettes significantly affects the maximum temperature achieved, with the highest temperature recorded at 70.69°C over 8 hours. The wood briquette-fueled dehydrator effectively reduced the moisture content of bay leaves by more than 60%, producing a dried texture suitable for long-term storage, particularly within a drying duration of 6–8 hours at an optimal temperature range of 40–60°C. Furthermore, the use of wood briquettes as a renewable energy source provided even heat distribution and reduced dependence on fossil fuels, making it an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solution.
