Abstract

The demographic bonus gives birth to productive millennials who now occupy the industrial world. However, the characteristics of millennials who are less loyal and less interested in long-term employment encourage companies to think of the right strategies for fostering employee engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of the psychosocial safety climate (PSC) on employee engagement among millennials compared to high salaries. In general, previous PSC research used survey methods with self-reports. PSC studies are still very limited with experimental methods, as well as in the context of Millennial generation research. The research was experimental study. The manipulation is given in the form of a vignette: high PSC-low salary versus low PSC-high salary. Vignettes were given to 65 participants, all millennial job seekers who are not self-employed. The results of the t-test show that Millennials prefer to apply and be involved in companies that prioritize a psychological health climate rather than financial goals (salaries). This study supports the self-determinant theory, especially in millennials, in regards to choosing companies. This research has implications for companies concerning policies, practices, and organizational procedures to protect psychological health and safety, especially for millennials.

Abstract

Abstract : Standard operating procedures are important rules in a company to achieve order and certainty in work. This study aims to analyze the application of standard operating procedures in the implementation of the work of the daily reporter of the people of South Sulawesi. The analysis method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data obtained through in-depth interview techniques with reporters including efficiency, consistency, minimizing errors, problem solving, labor protection, work maps and defense restrictions have been applied in the standard operating procedures (SOP) owned by the Harian Rakyat Sulsel. The results showed that the Application of Standard Operating Procedures in the Implementation of the Work of the daily reporters of the people of South Sulawesi has been applied well in everyday life consistently. Abstrak:  Standar operasional prosedur merupakan aturan penting dalam suatu perusahaan untuk mencapai keteraturan dan kepastian dalam bekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan standar operasional prosedur dalam pelaksanaan kerja reporter harian rakyat sulsel. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap reporter meliputi efisiensi, konsisten, meminimalisasi kesalahan, penyelesaiaan masalah, perlindungan tenaga kerja, peta kerja dan batasan pertahanan telah diterapkan dalam standar operasional prosedur (SOP) yang dimiliki Harian Rakyat Sulsel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan Standar Operasional Prosedur Dalam Pelaksanaan Kerja reporter harian rakyat sulsel telah diterapkan dengan baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari secara konsisten.Kata Kunci: Standar Operasional Prosedur; Harian Rakyat Sulsel; Reporter

Abstract

Boredom is a natural thing that happens to individuals in carrying out daily activities such as studying or doing difficult or monotonous work. Boredom can be defined as a condition in which the individual has low motivation and the task does not provide the desired stimulation. This program aims to provide information and knowledge in a simple and easy form to understand related to boredom. The benefit of this program is that readers, especially employees of the Telkom Witel Makassar, could easily understand the related topic, and could find solutions to reduce the level of boredom at work. The target of this program are employees of Telkom Witel Makassar and have read the author's infographic at least once. Initial data collection using observation, interview, and survey methods. Data collection for this program uses an evaluation of 13 Telkom employees involved in this program consisting of five men and eight women. Based on the evaluation, all of participants had felt bored at work. Repetitive work, excessive workload, and lack of motivation to work are the causes of perceived boredom. Participants can realize the causes of boredom and also know how to avoid boredom at work. All participants in this program feel that the information in the infographic is very useful for them.

Abstract

Komunikasi adalah instrumen yang digunakan oleh manusia untuk berinteraksi antar sesama. Komunikasi interpersonal yang baik dapat menciptakan hubungan interpersonal yang baik pula. Hal ini penting untuk dikuasai oleh fasilitator program Desa Bangkit Sejahtera yang keefektifan tugasnya sangat bergantung pada hubungan interpersonalnya dengan masyarakat desa. Oleh karena itu, psikoedukasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan serta pemahaman peserta mengenai komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah psikoedukasi non-pelatihan berupa seminar yang dilaksanakan secara langsung atau tatap muka dan berdurasi selama kurang lebih 4 jam. Psikoedukasi yang dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat tanggal 5 April 2024 ini melibatkan 5 orang peserta yang merupakan karyawan baru di posisi fasilitator program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan serta memperkaya informasi peserta terkait komunikasi interpersonal. Peserta menilai bahwa materi yang diberikan menarik dan dibawakan secara baik oleh pemateri. Pemberian psikoedukasi ini dinilai bermanfaat bagi peserta.

Abstract

Dinamika keterlibatan kerja generasi millennial menjadi fokus penting dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia kontemporer, khususnya dalam memahami peran komitmen terhadap work engagement. Penelitian ini secara spesifik bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana komitmen mempengaruhi work engagement pada karyawan generasi millennial di Kota Makassar, mengingat karakteristik unik generasi ini dalam konteks pekerjaan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional, penelitian melibatkan 350 karyawan millennial yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala komitmen (α = 0.892) dan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) (α = 0.912). Hasil analisis regresi linear sederhana mengungkapkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan komitmen terhadap work engagement (β = 0.862, p < 0.05), dengan tingkat komitmen dan work engagement berada pada kategori tinggi (90.8% dan 95.7%). Koefisien korelasi (R = 0.724) mengindikasikan hubungan kuat, dengan komitmen berkontribusi 52.4% terhadap work engagement (R² = 0.524). Model regresi menunjukkan signifikansi yang kuat (F = 383.242, p < 0.05), didukung oleh normalitas data dan linearitas hubungan. Temuan ini memberikan landasan empiris bagi pengembangan model Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) dalam konteks millennial dan menawarkan implikasi praktis bagi strategi pengelolaan SDM dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan kerja generasi millennial.
