Abstract

Statistics courses are courses that require thought processes to describe or analyze data in the form of numbers. Therefore, an assessment instrument for the statistics course test needs to be made. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the items using Anates version 4 in the form of a description test document which totals 4 questions. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach method. The results showed that: the results of the analysis of the validity of the UTS essay questions in the statistics subject were valid question categories with 2 items showing a very significant correlation. The results of the reliability analysis show that the correlation coefficient is 0.65. This indicates the reliability of the item has a category of questions with high reliability. At the difficulty level, 1 item is included in the easy category (74%), 2 items are included in the moderate category (53%) and 1 item is included in the very difficult category (14%). Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the differentiating power of the items showed that the discriminating power was sufficient, amounting to 1 item and 3 items showing good discriminating power.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas butir soal ujian akhir semester pada pembelajaran matematika peminatan di SMAN 4 Malang yang ditinjau dari segi tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan keefektifan pilihan sebagai pengecoh. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian yang bersifat evaluasi dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Evaluasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap butir soal ujian akhir sekolah (UAS) mata pelajaran matematika pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 guna mengetahui kualitas soal dengan cara melakukan analisis butir soal. Penelitian dilakukan dengan sampel sebanyak 36 lembar jawaban siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan bantuan aplikasi Anates. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: tingkat kesukaran soal, daya pembeda soal, dan keefektifan pilihan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kesukaran soal; 1 butir (5%) sangat mudah, 1 butir (5%) mudah, 12 butir (60%) sedang, 4 butir (20%) sukar, dan 2 butir (10%) sangat sukar. Untuk daya pembeda soal, 4 butir (20%) sangat buruk, 1 butir (5%) buruk, 4 butir (20%) cukup, dan 11 butir (55%) baik. Untuk efektifitas pilihan; 4 butir (20%) dalam kategori sangat baik, 6 butir (30%) dalam kategori baik, dan 10 butir (50%) dalam kategori buruk. Butir soal yang memiliki kualitas dengan kategori baik dapat digunakan atau di sebarkan untuk siswa, namun butir soal dengan kategori kurang baik dapat direvisi, dan butir soal dengan kategori buruk harus diganti dengan soal baru.

Abstract

The advancement of eco-green mathematics and artificial intelligence (AI) in education provides opportunities to improve sustainable mathematical literacy and support innovative learning practices. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of research trends, roles, and best practices in the integration of AI and eco-green mathematics to strengthen sustainability-oriented mathematical literacy. This study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method with strict guidelines, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). A literature search was conducted through the Scopus database for articles published between 2019 and 2025, resulting in 34 studies relevant to this topic. The results show that AI in mathematics education is applied through intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, and machine learning-based tools, while eco-green mathematics emphasizes mathematical modeling to answer ecological and social sustainability challenges. Most of the research was conducted in Europe, Asia, and the United States, with a predominance of conceptual, bibliometric, and mixed-approach studies. The analysis highlights key themes such as trends and concepts, the role of AI, best practices, challenges and opportunities, and future research directions related to sustainable mathematical literacy. Therefore, the synergy of smart technology, green curriculum, and pedagogical innovation will be the key to building sustainable mathematical literacy in the digital era.

Abstract

Many students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts because learning is still quite teacher-centred and does not pay attention to individual learning needs. Differentiated learning is seen as being able to overcome this problem by adjusting content and processes according to students' abilities and learning styles. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of differentiated learning in improving the mathematical concept understanding abilities of grade XI students at SMK Al Khozini Gondanglegi in the subject of matrices. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of the pretest and posttest control group type. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class with differentiated learning and the control class with conventional learning. Data were obtained from concept comprehension tests and analyzed using statistical tests. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental class with an average post-test score of 82.69 and an N-Gain of 0.57, which was higher than the control class with a post-test score of 68.42 and an N-Gain of 0.51. The t-test also showed a significant difference between the two classes (sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Thus, differentiated learning proved to be more effective than conventional learning in improving students' mathematical concept understanding of matrix material.
