Abstract

Community nurses play an important role in improving community health through the implementation of educational strategies and programmes tailored to local needs. This study aims to explore the role of community nurses in designing, implementing and evaluating health education programmes to improve the quality of community health. The methodology used included an extensive literature review and case study analysis of several communities that have adopted such programmes. The results showed that community nurses contribute significantly to improving health awareness, knowledge and behaviours, resulting in improved quality of life and reduced incidence of preventable diseases. Effective education programmes are designed using interactive learning methods, such as workshops, group discussions and individual counselling, tailored to the characteristics of the local community. The success of the programme relies heavily on a collaborative approach between nurses, communities and local health stakeholders. Ongoing support through professional training and increased community engagement are key factors for long-term success. This study concludes that the role of community nurses extends beyond basic medical care to include functioning as change agents in sustainable health promotion. Recommendations include strengthening the capacity of community nurses through ongoing training and developing policies that support the integration of this role in a holistic public health system.

Abstract

The healthcare sector faces increasing pressure to improve efficiency in patient management due to rising demands for services and limited nursing resources. The integration of wearable devices in healthcare offers a promising solution to enhance nursing efficiency by providing real-time monitoring and data collection. This study aims to explore the impact of wearable devices on nursing efficiency, particularly in the management of patients with chronic conditions. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis of patient outcomes and qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals using wearable technology in clinical settings. The results show that the use of wearable devices led to a 20% reduction in nurse workload, as real-time monitoring allowed for early detection of health issues, reducing the need for frequent in-person checks. Additionally, patient satisfaction increased by 15% due to the continuous monitoring and prompt intervention facilitated by wearable devices. The study concludes that wearable devices can significantly enhance nursing efficiency and improve patient outcomes, particularly in chronic disease management. The integration of these devices into healthcare systems has the potential to alleviate nursing shortages, improve patient care, and optimize resource allocation. However, challenges such as data security and device integration must be addressed for widespread adoption.

Abstract

Post-operative care is critical for ensuring optimal recovery, preventing complications, and reducing hospital readmission rates. Traditional follow up methods often face limitations, including geographic barriers, limited access to healthcare providers, and resource constraints, which can compromise patient outcomes. Tele-nursing offers a promising solution by delivering remote monitoring, education, and guidance, thereby enhancing accessibility and supporting continuity of care. This study investigates the effectiveness of tele-nursing interventions in post-operative care, focusing on patient outcomes, adherence to care protocols, and readmission rates. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating quantitative analysis of clinical metrics and readmission data with qualitative assessments of patient and nurse experiences. Data were collected from 180 post-operative patients across multiple surgical departments who received tele-nursing support over a 90 day period. Results indicated that tele-nursing significantly reduced 30 day readmission rates, improved adherence to post-operative care instructions, and increased patient satisfaction. Nurses reported enhanced ability to monitor patient recovery, provide timely interventions, and offer personalized education remotely. The study concludes that tele-nursing is an effective strategy to expand access to post-operative care, improve patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare system burden.
