Abstract

As we know, animation or cartooning is one of the most effective media to convey a message to children. It's the same with the Upin and Ipin series. This product from the neighboring country turns out to be not only entertaining but also implies a message and a mandate. Islam has taught that each of us is a brother and must remind each other of goodness. Upin and Ipin may be one of the media for da'wah if it can be easily conveyed, especially for children who are not yet baligh. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the animated series Upin and Ipin on the life of the Muslim religion for children because, more or less, television and the programs contained in it help children grow and develop. Through library studies based on several references and accompanied by surveys, Upin and Ipin turned out to have a good influence. They feel there is a moral message related to religion in the series.

Abstract

Background: The spread of the Covid-19 virus outbreak in early March 2020, caused a high number of deaths worldwide. People infected with Covid-19 are not only physically infected but mentally (spiritually) are also infected. In Indonesia, many hospitals in all cities and villages have been instructed to lock down (limit communication and interaction). This research focuses on analyzing neuro-spiritual as an alternative spiritual approach to improving mental health for Covid-19 patients. Method: This study uses a qualitative method (content analysis), based on case studies at Muhammadiyah hospitals throughout the city of Yogyakarta, Indonesia which are fully accredited (perfect). This study interviewed asymptomatic and symptomatic Covid-19 patients using a purposive sampling technique. The data qualitative analysis technique uses triangulation. Results: This study describes that patients suffering from Covid-19 are very diverse. Before the neuro-spiritual approach, Covid-19 patients felt constrained. The existence of a neuro-spiritual approach, namely a spiritual approach, such as fasting, night prayers (tahajjud), reading the Koran, and interacting with friends, has a good and positive impact on Covid-19 patients. A neuro-spiritual approach that prioritizes and relies on spiritual power (worship) that responds to the brain, is an alternative method used by PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Conclusion: A neuro-spiritual approach can improve the mental health of Covid-19 patients. This approach is very relevant to the reference perspective of Islamic studies which has implications for the Covid-19 disaster in Indonesia.

Abstract

From the perspective of the Qur’an, investigating the concept of human nature becomes an intriguing subject for scientific exploration, with a particular focus on the term “muḥsin”. This word holds a wide range of interpretations within the Qur’an, encompassing both its semantic implications and its relevance to understanding humanity. This pursuit of understanding and learning within the realm of science, especially in academic lectures and research, aims to analyze the correlation between the concept of human nature and Islamic education as they relate to the Qur’an and Ilmud dilalah (the science of semantics). This research is specifically oriented towards qualitative research, utilizing a literature review approach. Data was collected from online sources through literature searches on platforms such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Siendirect. Data analysis involved a meticulous content analysis process. The findings of this study highlight the concept of “fiṭrah” as a divine endowment bestowed upon humans by God, defining their existence. Understanding the meaning of this inherent nature is deemed essential for all individuals, ensuring that God’s gift is not squandered and that one’s full potential is developed. Islamic education plays a pivotal role in this context, serving as a guiding force that helps individuals preserve and direct their innate nature, particularly in fostering trust and confidence in Allah. It emphasizes the importance of nurturing one’s full potential. In Islam, education is not only emphasized but also intricately linked with the philosophy of science when applied to Islamic religious education. It is understood that Islam, as a holistic religion, provides comprehensive guidance and education for Muslims.
