Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan pada PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk dan PT. Mayora Indah Tbk periode 2016-2020. Metode kuantitatif diterapkan untuk menguji kinerja keuangan menggunakan metode analisis Du Pont yang terdiri dari Asset Turn Over, Net Profit Margin, Return On Equity, Equity Multiplier dan Return On Equity. Jenis data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Hasil perhitungan dengan metode analisis Du Pont diperoleh bahwa Equity Multiplier menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik dibandingkan dengan yang lainnya. Rata – rata hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PT. Mayora Indah Tbk lebih tinggi dari PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur pada Asset Turn Over, Return On Investment, Equity Multiplier dan Return On Equity. Sedangkan PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk hanya memperoleh rata – rata yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan PT. Mayora Indah Tbk pada Net Profit Margin. Kedua perusahaan sebaiknya meningkatkan penjualan dan modal serta menekan biaya dan utang.AbstractThis research aims to determine financial performance at PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur and PT. Mayora Indah Tbk for the period of 2016-2020. Quantitative method employed to measure the financial performance utilized Du Pont analysis instrument that consists of Asset Turn Over, Net Profit Margin, Return On Equity, Equity Multiplier and Return On Equity. The data utilized in this research is secondary data. The calculation results with Du Pont method analysis is obtained that Equity Multiplier shows is quite good result compared with others. The average analysis results show that PT. Matora Indah Tbk is higher than PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur on Asset Turn Over, Return On Investment, Equity Multiplier and Return On Equity. Meanwhile, PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk only obtained higher average compared to PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk on Net Profit Margin. Both of companies should increase sales and capital and reduce costs and debt.

Abstract

Financial difficulty is a condition when a company or individual faces serious financial distress and cannot meet their financial obligations. The main causes include a decline in income, increased debt, or management issues. Factors such as leverage, profitability, and liquidity are key influences on a company's financial health. This research utilized secondary data and a quantitative approach. The study population included 16 transportation companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2021 to 2023. Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample with specific criteria, resulting in 48 samples being selected for the analysis. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 24. The findings indicated that for transportation companies listed on the IDX between 2021 and 2023, leverage has a negative effect on financial distress. Conversely, liquidity and profitability were found to have a positive and significant effect on financial distress. Keywords: Liquidity, Profitability, Leverage, Financial Distress
