Abstract

Dasymaschalon blumei Finet & Gagnep. Is one of the species from the genus Dasymaschalon (Hook. F & Thomson) Dalla Torre & Harms which can be recognized from its peculiar moniliform fruits. It widespread in Java and Sumatera. An anatomical of leaves from herbarium specimens of D. blumei collected from Java and Sumatera has been carried out by using light microscope in Herbarium Bogoriense. The objectives of this study is to observe the leaves anatomy of D. blumei and to support the classification of the species concept of D. blumei. The specimens are divided into three categories based on the elevation, those were: specimens collected from < 50 m; 250 – 500 m,; and > 500 m of sea level. The result showed that from the epidermal section, the type of the stomata from the three categories were similar, and also the number and the index of the stomata. Variations however exists because of the environment factors.

Abstract

South Tangerang City as an Autonomous city formed in 2006 continues to develop in various fields. The well-developed economic activities of South Tangerang City have also caused an increase in the amount of waste generated from community activities in addition to population growth. Hygiene problems, especially garbage, are still a serious problem in South Tangerang. The responsibility of waste management is not only with the government but also the responsibility of the community. Everyone responsible for managing household waste or a type of household waste is obliged to reduce or handle waste in an environmentally mindful way.

Abstract

Puskesmas is one of the health service facilities that are useful for improving the degree of public health. Health service activities are carried out by providing health protection to the general public, patient safety, a good health facility environment, and human resources experts at these health facilities. In order not to interfere with the operational activities of health facilities in serving health, an environmental risk management is needed in order to avoid environmental pollution that can come from infectious diseases that are easily found in these health facilities. One source of environmental pollution that can be found from health facilities is waste, especially medical waste, which is included in the class of waste that can harm the environment (biohazard) so that the waste also requires special handling for its management. The variables used in the study were the actions of officers in medical waste management, infrastructure facilities in processing medical waste, the level of knowledge of officers in managing medical waste, the duration of time used in medical waste management, and the volume of medical waste produced in a certain duration of time.

Abstract

Mangroves are one of the largest coastal ecosystems in Indonesia that provide ecosystem functions and services for terrestrial biota, sea, seagrass ecosystems - coral reefs, and surrounding areas. Indonesia has the largest mangrove area in the world with an area of 22.6%, so that Indonesian mangroves contribute significantly to the absorption of carbon dioxide (CO2), one of the greenhouse gases. So that Indonesia's mangroves play an important role in regulating global climate change. The area of mangrove forests in Indonesia has declined sharply over the past two decades. The main drivers of mangrove degradation are use for settlement and cultivation. Currently, sustainable management is needed to maintain and improve the area and quality of mangroves. Mangrove forests are very important ecosystems for the conservation of fish resources. Mangroves are the habitat of fish, shrimp, crabs, and others. The ecological or biological function of mangrove ecosystems includes spawning grounds, foraging and breeding grounds for animals, especially fish, crabs and shrimp which are excellent commodities that benefit fishermen. Physically, mangrove forests prevent coastal abrasion, resist seawater intrusion and windbreaks, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions such as CO, CO2, SOx and NOx in the air and pollutants in coastal waters (Noor et al., 2006). The main factors of mangrove destruction are (1) pollution, (2) conversion of mangrove forests without considering environmental factors, and (3) excessive deforestation.

Abstract

Environmental Management System (EMS) is one of the tools that can be used in environmental management. Slaughterhouses (RPH) are facilities, where animals are slaughtered for consumption as food products. This practice aims to assess and identify the current suitability/conditions at Jone Slaughterhouse (RPH) to the implementation of the Environmental Management System from ISO clause 14001. Practice shows that there are several documented ISO 14001 clauses such as organization (clause 4), Leadership (clauses 5.1, 5.3), planning (clause 6.1.3), support (clause 7.1), and performance evaluation (clause 9.1.2).This practice aims to analyze and identify the current suitability / conditions at Jone Slaughterhouse (RPH) to the implementation of the Environmental Management System from ISO clause 14001 to the operations of RPH Jone. This practice is useful as a study and information material as well as a study for interested parties to take concrete steps or policies in the development of the slaughterhouse business (RPH) based on the ISO 1400 Environmental Management System

Abstract

Nganjuk Regional Hospital implements the eco-efficiency principle in its operation. It is carried out by focusing on three leadership profiles, facilities management, and the overall level of eco-efficiency practices in health services. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach supported by data processing and literature study. Nganjuk Regional Hospital continuously improves its public health services by offering various health specialists. Its management and stakeholders are actively involved in making environmental improvements, enhancing employees' capacity, and paying attention to developing innovative health services. This research finds that public health services offered by hospitals increase the environmental cost, which, in consequence, elevates the level of the Eco-efficiency Ratio (EER). When this happens, the operation of a Nganjuk Regional Hospital will not be considered entirely environmentally friendly. Keywords: implementation of eco-efficiency; eco-efficiency ratio AbstrakRumah Sakit Daerah Nganjuk mengimplementasikan prinsip eko-efisiensi di dalam operasionalnya.

Abstract

Since the enactment of the National Registration System (SRN) of the Directorate General of Climate Change Control based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 71 of 2017 where SRN is a forum to manage and provide web-based data and information in the form of actions and resources in the implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation actions in Indonesia. Until 2023, there are 16 climate village locations in Paser Regency that have been reported to SRN with various levels of achievement according to the conditions of action that have been carried out by each climate village location. The purpose of this study is to analyze the best location of climate villages as reference locations in efforts to adapt and mitigate climate change in Paser Regency. The method used is TOPSIS, which calculates the highest value to the lowest of the closing results. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the best location of the climate village in Paser Regency that can be recommended as a reference location for ProKlim development is Muser Village, Muara Samu District, Paser Regency.
