Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ecological implications of the online short story Bumi Tak Seindah Dulu by Jesyca Tina for literature learning in high school. This study uses a literary-ecological approach, and the research method used is the content analysis method. In this study, the data sources used were primary data from the short story Bumi Tak Seindah Dulu, lesson plans, and a syllabus. Secondary data sources are references in the form of books to support research. The results of the research data analysis are in the form of literary ecology contained in short stories. The findings obtained in this study are related to environmental resources, ecosystems, and disasters. The implications of educational values for learning literature in junior high school are linked based on the syllabus and lesson plans learned in senior high school. The subject matter can be related to learning environmental short stories in schools. Teachers can use learning resources like the short story Bumi Tak Seindah Dulu to analyze the value of environmental education through problems and positive behaviour from short stories.

Abstract

The research background is that the low level of students' ability to write fables is inadequate. There are some students who have adequate writing skills but are lazy to write, because the learning system is monotonous and teacher centered. The problems raised are, (1) Is there an effect of the Problem Based Learning Model on the skills of writing fables in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Pakuhaji Tangerang. The method used in this study is a Quasi-Experimental type of Nonequivalent Control Group Design using experimental and control class study groups. The purpose of this study was to increase the learning activities of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakuhaji Tangerang during the learning process using the Problem Based Learning Model, and to improve skills in writing fables through the application of the Problem Based Learning Model to class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakuhaji Tangerang. This research was conducted in two stages, namely Pretest and Posttest. The results of this study indicate that the use of the Problem Based Learning Model in fable writing skills can improve students' writing skills. The increase in students' fable writing skills can be seen from the average learning outcomes of writing skills using the Problem Based Learning Model of 70, while the average value of the results of students' fable writing skills who do not use the Problem Based Learning Model is 63. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students' fable writing skills experienced a significant increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the cultural aspects, values, norms, and arts contained in the Novel Senandung Cinta di Lembah Papua by Pujia Achmad. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method, because qualitative research prioritizes the depth of appreciation of the interactions between concepts. The novel describes a long prose essay and contains a series of stories of a person's life with the people around him and highlights the nature of each behavior and the form of the story or stories that are depicted by the characters in fictional events, the value of reason and mind that a person has to develop human power and activity. The focus of this research It is important to clearly define the boundaries of the problem. This research can provide benefits for the scientific development of Indonesian literature, especially in studying Indonesian novels with the study of Sociology of Literature. Humans and society, become objects of natural sciences. Based on the results of the research, it has been concluded that the cultural background aspects contained in the Novel Senandung Cinta in the Valley of Papua have cultural aspects. This aspect contained in the Novel Senandung Cinta in the Valley of Papua describes the beliefs of the ancestors which are the guideline for people's lives as an example of good behavior and are expected to be role models for the people of Papua. In literary works, it can also describe a series of stories of a person's life with the people around him and highlight the behavior of the author of the literary work. For example, novels. The novel is primarily a prose genre, with a length that can more or less fill one or two small volumes depicting real life in a fairly broad plot.

Abstract

The research entitled The Use of Imagery in Students' Poetry aims to determine the use of imagery in students' poetry. This study used a qualitative approach and the content analysis method. The data used in this study are the findings and quotations in the lines and stanzas of the students' poems. Data collection techniques using documentation studies. The results showed that the researcher found that there were 46 imagery elements contained in a collection of students' poems, including 18 visual imagery, 4 auditory imagery, 3 tactile imagery, and 21 motion imagery.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa dikenal adanya empat komponen keterampilan berbahasa, yaitu keterampilan menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Keempat komponen ini memiliki saling keterkaitan antara satu dan lainnya dan tidak dapat dipisahkan. Kemampuan menulis memberikan makna yang penting untuk berkomunikasi secara tidak langsung dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, dalam penelitan ini digunakan tenik Teratai dengan model Pailkem. Melihat kemampuan menulis siswa kelas XI Sosial 4 SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti masih tergolong rendah, maka penelitian ini sangat perlu untuk dilakukan. Permasalahan yang terungkap adalah siswa belum berani tampil mengeluarkan ide-ide yang dimilikinya dalam menulis naskah drama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Tindakan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tiga siklus. Tiap siklus dilakukan secara bertahap yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu, (1) perencanaan, (2) tindakan, pengamatan (observasi) dan, (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Sosial IV SMA YPPK Taruna Bakti. Data penelitian diambil dengan tes dan nontes. Pengambilan data melalui tes yaitu paktek menulis naskah drama, sedangkan pengambilan data melalui nontes berupa lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian, pembelajaran kemampuan menulis siswa menggunakan teknik Teratai dan Pailkem, mengalami peningkatan bila dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa pada penelitian awal prasiklus yang hanya mencapai 66,12%. Pada siklus I peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa mencapai 71,70%, dan siklus II tingkat kemampuan menulis naskah drama 81, 03%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan tingkat kemampuan menlis naskah drama siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan teknik Teratai dan model Pailkem
