Abstract

Discussing polygamy always supports Islam which clearly allows polygamy on the basis of QS. An-Nisa> (3: 4), here the author tries to describe polygamy from a human rights perspective regardless of religious and social contexts. So as not to marginalize women in this context. It is clear that polygamy exists in Islam indirectly to elevate the status of women who are in an equal position with men. And polygamy was a form of executive in a special situation at that time, not an order to have more than one wife.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamics and transformation of Islamic education from the classical period to the modern era in a historical perspective. Islamic education has experienced a long journey marked by changes in forms, systems, and approaches, starting from informal models based on mosques and scholars' houses, developing to madrasas as formal institutions in medieval times, to the integration of technology and transdisciplinary curriculum in the current digital era. Through a qualitative approach with a literature study of historical literature and contemporary studies, this research shows that Islamic education continues to adapt to the challenges of the times without losing the essence of its spiritual and moral values. The transformation emphasizes the importance of innovation based on tradition in building an inclusive, adaptive and sustainable Islamic education system. This article provides a theoretical contribution to the development of a modern Islamic education model that remains grounded in classical scholarship but is open to global developments.
