Abstract

Seismic stratigraphy is one of the efforts in interpreting stratigraphy from seismic data. In seismic data, things that can be construed include faults, facies, depositional environments, sequence boundaries, petroleum systems, etc. Studies related to seismic stratigraphy are an essential part of oil and gas exploration activities. These studies can support the analysis of results in early fields with minimal data or fields without good data. The results of stratigraphic analyses on subsequent seismic data are useful as a basis for further exploration activities. A simple method that can be used to interpret seismic data is by using a wheeler diagram. The interpretation results obtained from stratigraphic analysis on seismic data with a width of 5 Km and a depth of 50 ms are ten faults with a descending pattern, and there are five sequence boundaries based on the continuity pattern of seismic data. Based on the results of stratigraphic interpretation on seismic data, the reservoir deposition environment is in the transition area. The petroleum system that can be indicated from the seismic data is that the reservoir is in the off-lap section and also in the basin floor fan, the source rock is below the reservoir zone, the reservoir migration pattern passes through the fault, and the shale at the top of the reservoir layer can be a seal rock and the trapping pattern in the seismic data is generally a stratigraphy trap

Abstract

Indonesia has 14,905,575 ha of peatlands spread across Sumatra (43.18%), Kalimantan (32.06%) and Papua (24.76%) (Balai Besar Sumberdaya Lahan Pertanian, 2011). The area of peatland in Central Kalimantan reaches 2.65 million ha or 16.83% of the total area of Central Kalimantan (Balai Besar Litbang Sumberdaya Lahan Pertanian, 2013). Land and forest fires are becoming increasingly severe not only in Central Kalimantan, but also in other regions. This is triggered by activities where peatlands are used for agriculture or plantations coupled with the construction of drainage canals, causing peat water to dry out and become flammable during the dry season. In 1997, catastrophic fires destroyed no less than 2.2 million hectares of peat swamp forest, and destroyed 0.14 - 0.17 Gt of peatland carbon. In addition, it also caused several health problems, for example in Central Kalimantan, during the fires in 2015 there was data on cases of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in Central Kalimantan until the fourth week of September 2015, the number of sufferers reached 20,274 people (KMNLHRI and UNDP; 2015). These forest fires also cause great losses in the socio-economic field. This service aims to prevent drought in peatlands by measuring the water level at several points in Tumbang Tahai Village by measuring the water level so that an Early Warning System for peatland drought is formed in the village. It is hoped that the community of Tumbang Tahai Village in particular and the people of Central Kalimantan in general will be able to prevent peatland drought and this can be an initial experience in the practical experience of making, installing and using a water level measuring instrument.

Abstract

Mastery of science and technology is important in building competitiveness in order to produce value-added products and provide competitive advantages. Mastery of science and technology can be improved through various sciences, one of which is natural science (IPA). Natural science is a collection of knowledge and processes carried out by scientists in conducting investigations to obtain explanations about natural phenomena that occur in everyday life. One step in having the strategy in question is mastering the techniques for presenting material or what is usually called teaching methods. The use of practical teaching aids helps make it easier for teachers to explain a concept to students. Nathania Palangka Raya Middle School is located in the center of Palangka Raya city, Central Kalimantan Province. Based on the survey results, science learning carried out by teachers still uses conventional methods and without the help of learning media. Apart from that, teachers still dominate the science learning process. One way to improve the abilities of teachers and students in the field of science requires training and use of science teaching aids. The result of this training is that students are enthusiastic about participating in activities organized by the service team. In addition, students' understanding of the material taught using science teaching aids is better than without using science teaching aids and also increasing teacher abilities, will contribute to the improvement students' understanding of science concepts

Abstract

A sliding plane is a layer below the surface that is impermeable. The sliding plane becomes a place where the soil mass experiences movement so that the weathered layer above it experiences landslides following the slope. Payan Hamlet, located in Punten Village, Batu City, which is the research area, is included in a landslide-prone village as evidenced by the recapitulation of BPBD disaster data for Batu City during 2022, 6 landslides occurred. The geoelectric method used in this study is the Wenner configuration. It was used to identify the subsurface condition and interpret the slide plane and direction of the landslide. There are 5 trajectories in this study with 5 m electrode spacing. Based on the results of 2D data processing, the distribution of resistivity values in the research area is diverse. The resistivity value is divided into 3 (three) categories. The low resistivity category with a value of 13 - 51 Ωm is interpreted as a clay layer, the medium resistivity category with a value of 70 - 100 Ωm is interpreted as a tuff layer, and the high resistivity category with a value of 100 - 200 Ωm is interpreted as volcanic breccia. The interpretation of the layer that becomes the sliding field in the research area is the tuff layer with a depth of ± 3.8 - 4m. Based on the results of 2D data processing and calculation of the degree of slope, it can be analysed that the direction of the landslide leads to the southeast side of the research area. Installation of evacuation route signs around the research area is considered as a disaster mitigation effort that can be done

Abstract

This study investigates the dynamics of water level (TMA), electrical current, power, and battery voltage in a data loggerbased monitoring system designed for peatlands. Data collected from October 30 to December 4, 2024, highlight significant fluctuations influenced by environmental factors, load surges, and voltage disruptions. Scenario simulations, including changes in rainfall, sudden load increases, and voltage system disturbances, were performed to evaluate the system's operational efficiency and stability. The findings indicate that TMA is highly influenced by hydrological conditions, where a 50% reduction in rainfall significantly decreases TMA, impacting the stability of current and power. A 50% load surge drives the current and power close to the system's maximum capacity, while voltage disruptions lead to a 20% increase in current and a 20% reduction in power, revealing system imbalances. Energy efficiency remains stable under normal conditions (0.0022) but drops significantly during disruptions. The study underscores the need for integrating protective technologies, such as Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR), Overcurrent Protection, and balanced load management, to mitigate risks and maintain system stability. Additionally, improved water management in peatlands contributes to stabilizing TMA and reducing environmental impacts on electrical parameters. This research highlights the importance of a holistic approach, combining technology, hydrological management, and data-driven simulations, for sustainable operations. The findings offer practical recommendations for system enhancement, risk mitigation, and the development of future energy monitoring tools. Opportunities for renewable energy integration are also explored to ensure long-term operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

The magnetic method is one of the methods used in geophysical engineering. Measurements using the magnetic method that are mostly carried out are by using a PPM (Proton Precession Magnetometer). The application of the magnetic method is often used in preliminary exploration of petroleum, geothermal, and mineral deposits and can be applied to prospecting for archaeological objects. The purpose of this study was to determine the subsurface layers using the magnetic method as an initial survey with the hope of being able to apply magnetic method theory in practice in the field before carrying out other, more complex surveys.
