Abstract

Daun Pare sejak dahulu digunakan sebagai obat tradisional oleh masyarakat. Manfaat dari Daun Pare yaitu untuk mengobati Cacingan, Demam, Bisul dan Malaria. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak Daun Pare pada bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa menggunakan metode disk diffusion. Ekstraksi menggunakan pelarut Etanol 96 % dengan metode maserasi. Konsentrasi ekstrak daun Pare yang digunakan sebesar 2,5 % b/v, 7,5 % b/v dan 12,5 % b/v dengan kontrol negatif DMSO 1 %. Pengamatan zona hambat dilakukan 2 kali yaitu dengan setelah inkubasi 1 x 24 jam dan setelah inkubasi 2 x 24 jam. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol Daun Pare mempunyai aktivitas Antibakteri terhadap Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Peningkatan konsentrasi meningkatkan zona hambat yang terbentuk. Pada konsentrasi ekstrak daun Pare 2,5 % b/v, 7,5 % b/v dan 12,5 % b/v zona hambat yang terbentuk adalah 6 mm, 7,5 mm dan 9 mm. Tidak ada perubahan zona hambat pada pengamatan 2 x 24 jam. Kata Kunci : Ekstrak, daun pare, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, aktivitas, antibakteri

Abstract

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L) adalah coffee bean extract drink that has been roasted and ground into a powder. Arabica coffee beans contains saponins, phenols, chlorogenic acid, mangiferin and flavonoids which show antioxidant activity. This study aims to determine the effect of processed espresso machine and manual brew pour over V60 on Arabica coffee beans on antioxidant activity and to determine the IC50 value of espresso filtrate and pour over V60 on Arabica coffee beans (Coffea arabica L). The antioxidant activity test used the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method. Based on the research results, it shows that the IC50 values ​​of espresso and pour over V60 filtrate are 324,289 ppm and 447,352 ppm. So that the highest antioxidant activity is found in the espresso filtrate.

Abstract

Has conducted research in the Village District of Kahu Sanrego Bone district in August 2015 about the dangers of using a whitening cream that aims to measure the level of public knowledge Sanrego Village District of Kahu Bone regency against the dangers of using a whitening cream. This research is a descriptive study with data collection using a questionnaire with 90 respondents were found for ± 1 month by accidental sampling technique. Data obtained dipersentase and categorized, ie when 0% -33% lower mean knowledge,> 33% -66% means knowledge being and> 66% -100% means higher knowledge. The result showed the level of public knowledge Sanrego Village District of Kahu Bone regency against the dangers of using a whitening cream in medium category with a percentage score of 44.37%.
