Abstract

One of the ways to improve employee performance can be achieved by applying astrong leadership style and organizational culture. This study aims to examine the effectof transformational leadership style and organizational culture in improving employeeperformance through organizational commitment as intervening. The study wasconducted on 100 employees (land / ship) at PT Aman Lintas Samudra. Data analysisused the SEM-PLS method with the SmartPLS version 2.3.m3 application. Thehypothesis test results prove that transformational leadership style and organizationalculture have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment and employeeperformance. Organizational culture has the most dominant influence both onorganizational commitment and employee performance. The mediation test resultsprove that organizational commitment does not mediate the influence oftransformational leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance

Abstract

Keinginan karyawan keluar dari pekerjaannya merupakan permasalahan serius yang kini banyak dihadapi oleh perusahaan startup di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merumuskan masalah bagaimana pengaruh abusive supervision dan psychological distress terhadap intention to quit dengan coworker support dan organizational support sebagai pemoderasi pada karyawan milenial di perusahaan startup Jakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan jumlah sampel diambil sebanyak 196 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan model SEM-PLS yang dilakukan melalui uji model pengukuran, uji model struktural dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa abusive supervision dan psychological distress berpengaruh positif terhadap intention to quit. Dalam penelitian ini coworker support memberikan efek moderasi yang memperkuat abusive supervision terhadap intention to quit, dan memperlemah psychological distress terhadap intention to quit. Bertolak belakang dengan organizational support yang terbukti memberikan efek moderasi yang memperlemah pengaruh abusive supervision terhadap intention to quit, namun memperkuat pengaruh psychological distress terhadap intention to quit.
