Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research  aimed to identify the effectiveness of questioning  strategy by students (question student have (QSH);  and powerpoint  for the structure and function of plant tissues learning materials. This research was experimental research with pretest and posttest group design. Population of this study were  all  Grade VIII students. Samples was taken by cluster random sampling. Students of VIIIA were treated as experiment class  whereas Students of VIIIB as control. The data were  pretest scores, students’ activity and learning outcomes, taken by test and observation. The pretest scores and learning outcomes were analyzed by t test whereas students’ activity was analyzed by quantitative description. The results showed the average  score of active and very active students of experiment class were higher than that of  control, 86,87% > 76,04%. The average learning outcomes of experiment class were higher than  that of control. The experiment class’ learning completion score was higher than that of  control, 90,9% > 81,3%. The conclusion was  the questioning strategy and powerpoint were effectively  applied on the material of the plant’s structure and function.
