Abstract

Health service utilization is an important determinant of health, which should be of particular concern as a public health and development problem in low-income countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) also recommends the use of medical services as a basic and primary health concept for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. The purpose of this study was to identify factors related to utilization of coastal health services. Data collection was taken from Google Scholar using the keywords: factors, related, utilization and service. Research journals were taken in 2016-2020, then reviewed again according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria applied by the authors. The results of the literature show that there are variables of knowledge, tradition, attitudes, accessibility, health personnel, income and education with the use of health services for people in coastal areas

Abstract

Background: Environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene are related to the incidence of diarrhea. One of them is the presence of vectors caused by poor sanitation and SPAL and CTPS. Purpose: This literature review aims to determine the relationship between environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea. Method: The method used in writing a literature review is a traditional literature review. Data sources come from Google Scholar and the Garuda portal in the 2015-2020 period. The keywords used are "diarrhea incidence, environmental factors and maternal personal hygiene". After screening, there were 22 reference articles. Results: The results showed that there were 18 out of 22 journals which concluded that environmental factors were one of the causes of diarrhea, 13 of 22 journals concluded that maternal personal hygiene was one of the causes of diarrhea. The dominant maternal environmental and personal hygiene factors trigger the incidence of diarrhea, namely sanitation, SPAL and CTPS. Bad CTPS is more dominant in causing diarrhea with an OR value of 6.985. Conclusion: Conclusion of this literature review is that the causes of diarrhea in toddlers are more dominated by sanitation conditions, SPAL and one of the mothers' personal hygiene, namely poor CTPS. Good CTPS is using soap and running water when washing hands. Therefore, improving sanitation, SPAL and good application of CTPS is one way to minimize the incidence of diarrhea

Abstract

Introduction: Sanitation is an important factor in public health. One of the areas that has a fairly high level of difficulty in managing sanitation is the coastal area where the main problem lies in the disposal of household waste and garbage as an environmental sanitation problem. Healthy housing is a gathering place for all family members and spends most of their time. so that the health conditions of housing can act as a medium for disease transmission among family members or neighbors, especially the people in coastal areas whose household wastewater channels are considered for healthy housing. Methods: To obtain data on research methods using a comprehensive search-based Systematic Review based on 3 open science framework OSF indexed journals, Medline Pubmed, and Google Scholar. The research sample uses 12 journal references. Result: Community knowledge regarding household wastewater disposal is still minimal because the community has never received health education or information regarding household wastewater disposal. Facilities for disposing of liquid waste in households include disposal of water used for kitchen, bathroom and hand washing facilities. So that a waste water disposal channel (SPAL) is needed in the form of a pipe or other in order to become a place for disposal of waste water from the source to the place of management. Conclusion: There is a significant influence of sewage drainage on the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).

Abstract

Grab is one of the originators of online-based transportation. The presence of Grab helps people with their transportation needs. Grab is the leading ride-hailing platform in Southeast Asia. Work activities carried out by online drivers sometimes do not look at the time, many even work from early morning until late at night to get maximum points and bonuses in one day. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence fatigue in Grab driver workers in Medan City. This research uses a type of quantitative study, with a cross-sectional research design. The sample in this study were 80 respondents. The data analysis used was univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis using the Chi-Square Test. The results of the study found that the relationship between age and fatigue was p-value 0.007 <0.05, the relationship between years of service and fatigue was p-value 0.000 <0.05. Multivariate analysis obtained a significant variable, namely work mass (P Value = 0.006). Work period has a very close relationship to driver grab fatigue in the city of Medan. For online motorcycle taxi drivers to be aware of the importance of resting if they are tired to avoid work fatigue.

Abstract

Wood processing Industry is afast growing industry and takes many humanresources. This type of industry hasadisadvantage that it can produce pollution formed as wood dust. Wood dust is a particulate coumpound which couldcause respiratory problem to workers if it entersthe respiratory tracts. Besidethe wood dust, there are some other factors from occupational to personal aspectsof workerswhich could cause respiratory symptoms. The aim study is analyze factors affecting respiratory symptoms. In Indonesia, the sick rate reaches 70% in workers who are exposed to dust every day. In 2013 the prevalence rate of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD) reached 3.7% and was more experienced by men. The amount of pulmonary function disorders can be influenced by dust and the characteristics of the workers themselves. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with impaired lung function in the furniture industry in Indonesia. The design of this study is a research with a literature review method. From the results of the search for scientific articles using the Google schoolar and GARUDA databases, 10 selected research articles were obtained. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between wood dust levels and worker characteristics which included years of service, use of PPE, smoking habits, age, and length of exposure

Abstract

Heavy metal pollution including benzene is a serious problem in both developed and developing countries like Indonesia. Benzene pollution is closely related to mining processes, motor vehicle fumes and industries that use benzene raw materials such as fuel oil which contains toxic chemicals. Fuel oil can produce vapor or gas in the air which has a negative impact on human health. This study aims to determine the exposure of benzene to Pertamina gas station attendants in the East Medan District. This study used an analytic observational research design with a cross-sectional study approach. The sample in this study was taken using the total sampling method, namely 40 respondents. The results of this study were that there was a significant relationship between benzene exposure and the respondent's working hours with p=0.004, there was a significant relationship between benzene exposure and the respondent's working period with p=0.000, and a significant relationship between benzene exposure and smoking habits with a p=0.001. The conclusion of this study is that benzene can accumulate in the body for a long time. The accumulation of benzene in the body, especially for gas station workers, can be influenced by several factors, including long working hours, working hours that are more than normal working hours, and smoking habits. Apart from blood and urine specimens, benzene accumulation in a person's body can also be detected in other specimens such as hair because hair can store accumulated chemicals in the body for a long time.
