Abstract

The global cosmetics market experienced a fairly deep contraction in 2020. This was in line with the world's sluggish economic conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of the decline in cosmetic sales, many employees were laid off, so the number of unemployed increased from the previous year. Employees who have poor performance for the company will experience termination of employment by the company. This study analyzes the effect of Work Design, Organizational Culture, and Work Competence on Employee Performance through Work Motivation. The population of this research is cosmetic Sales Promotion Girls in Jakarta. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 185. The data collection technique used a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis technique using structural equation modeling (SEM) based on partial least squares (PLS). The results of this study indicate that: work design has a negative effect on work motivation and employee performance, organizational culture has a positive effect on work motivation, organizational culture has a positive effect on employee performance, work competence has a negative effect on work motivation, work competence has a positive effect on employee performance, work motivation has a negative effect on employee performance, work design has a positive effect on employee performance through work motivation, organizational culture has a negative effect on employee performance through work motivation, and work competence has a positive effect on employee performance through work motivation.

Abstract

The Sharia-based MSME market is attracting the attention of most of the Muslim community. However, this attraction will only come to fruition if the idea and execution adhere to strict Sharia principles. Although many MSMEs call themselves Sharia-based, the reality is often far from this ideal. This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the concepts and applications of Shariah-based MSMEs to the students of Global Cahaya Nubuwah Insani Purwakarta School of Entrepreneurship, especially regarding financial resources, processes production and marketing strategy. The dedication method used was the usual one through presentations made by two curators with expertise in aspects of Sharia contracts and operational aspects of MSMEs. The results showed that the students understood the basic concepts of Sharia-based MSME, including finance, production, and marketing. However, one of the identified obstacles is limited practical experience in managing these MSMEs. By providing these tips, we hope that Entrepreneurship School students can absorb Sharia-based MSME theory and be able to apply it in a real-world setting. The implementation is mainly focused on Sharia-compliant funding sources, Sharia-guided manufacturing processes, and Sharia-based marketing strategies. With better understanding and implementation, it is hoped that Sharia-based MSMEs can thrive by adhering to a solid foundation of highly respected Sharia principles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan New Ways of Working (NWoW) terhadap Employee Engagement (EE) dengan mediasi Leadership di perusahaan kawasan Sudirman Central Business District. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Leadership dan EE. Selain itu, NWoW juga berpengaruh positif terhadap Leadership dan EE. Leadership terbukti berperan sebagai mediator yang signifikan antara AI dan EE, serta antara NWoW dan EE. Dengan demikian, penerapan AI dan NWoW yang baik dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan karyawan melalui peningkatan kualitas kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi teknologi dan cara kerja baru dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang produktif dan berdaya saing.
