The method used in this research is quantitative. The population is all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Sitio-tio Samosir Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 50 people. Data was collected using a closed questionnaire of 40 items, namely 20 questionnaire items for variable Samosir 2022/2023 Academic Year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained by the value rxy = 0.563 > rtable(=0.05,n=50) = 0.297, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable X with variable Y. b) The significant relationship test obtained is the value tcount= 4.716 > ttable(=0.05,dk=n-2=48)= 2.021, thus there is a significant relationship between variable X and variable Y. 2) Test influence: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y ̂="34.775"+0.371X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 31.7%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(=0.05, dk numerator k=18, dk denominator=n-2=50-2=48) namely 22.24 > 1.51 Thus Ha accepted and H0 rejected.

The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence between animated video media and the learning motivation of students at XII SMA Negeri 1 Uluan for the 2022/2023 academic year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained by the value rxy = 0.397> rtable( α = 0.05, IK = 95%, n = 43) = 0.301, thus it is known that there is a positive relationship between variable dk=n-2=41)=2.021, thus there is a significant relationship between variable b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r²)=15.8%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount>Ftable, namely 7.67>1.92. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be seen that the research hypothesis proposed by the author is accepted, namely that there is a positive and significant influence between animated video media and the learning motivation of students at XII SMA Negeri 1 Uluan for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The concept of critical thinking that comes from an understanding of concepts can be formed through providing real examples accompanied by material explanations. This ability is a cognitive skill in translating, interpreting, and re-explaining concepts in its own way. It also refers to the ability to explain a concept that has been understood in the form of oral or written explanation to others. Students' low understanding of a concept affects students' ability to solve more complex problems. The low ability of students to think critically is reflected in the weak ability of students to rebuild a concept, provide practical examples, and apply a concept to solve problems. This study aims to prove the positive influence of students' critical thinking skills on affective learning outcomes. The research design used in this study is a causality research design. As part of quantitative research, data are obtained through random sampling. The sample taken must be completely representative because the conclusions drawn from the sample will apply to the population. Therefore, this study used a sample of 50 students. Through field tests, it was concluded that critical thinking skills can affect students' affective learning outcomes by 43,8%. The learning outcomes are illustrated by the participants the more understanding, the more sensitive, the better, and the more professional they are in doing something, as a result of learning in the affective realm.
