Abstract

Islam as an identity for Muslims originates from the Qur'an and Hadith which has important topics of discussion, one of which is politics. Even though Islam talks about politics, it does not explicitly mention the ideal form of political system. One of the characteristics of Islamic political thought during the time of Rasulullah SAW. and the Khulafa'ur Rasyidin are those which only focus on conquering or expanding territory, integration and consolidation of Islamic political power.In addition, political thought that develops also tends to be a response to the socio-political conditions that occur. This type of research from the point of view of the paradigm is qualitative research. Qualitative research aims to find conceptual meaning as a whole based on facts and sayings and actions. The research method used is library research, namely research activities that are used systematically to collect information, process and conclude data from various kinds of materials in the library. This research is descriptive analytical. Descriptively, this study aims to explain Islamic political thought in the era of the leadership of the Prophet and Khulafaur Rasyidin in Islam and the relationship between religion and the state. The research data obtained were then analyzed and interpreted to obtain adequate meaning

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the motivation of non-madrasa graduate students to learn Arabic at Department of Arabic Language Education of IAIN Kendari. The type of this research was descriptive qualitative in which data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The source of primary data was the non-madrasa graduates who study at Arabic language education and the secondary data was the lecturers. Data were analyzed by reducing, displaying, drawing conclusion. The result of the study indicated that the students’ motivation to study at Arabic Language Department was varied. Their internal motivation was the desire to learn a new thing, to become a professional Arabic teacher, and to learn the language of Qur’an in order to understand its contents. Their external motivation came from their parents’ advice, the enjoyable learning experience of Arabic at their previous educational level, and coming from a family where they regularly speak Arabic. Encouragement from within and peers, interesting learning media, and the instructional approach were all factors that encourage them to learn Arabic at the Arabic Language Education Department. On the other hand, their lack of basic Arabic proficiency, laziness, and a less accommodating language environment are the main barriers for some learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi komunikasi dalam video pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang diproduksi oleh non-penutur asli. Perkembangan teknologi telah membuka peluang besar bagi pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui media digital seperti YouTube, Instagram, dan TikTok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif, melalui observasi dan dokumentasi video pembelajaran. Fokus penelitian meliputi tiga aspek: (1) strategi komunikasi yang digunakan pengajar non-penutur asli, (2) analisis materi ajar, dan (3) bentuk alih kode yang muncul dalam interaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengajar menerapkan strategi komunikasi berupa pembukaan formal dengan bahasa Arab yang kemudian diterjemahkan ke bahasa Indonesia, pengulangan pelafalan kalimat, serta praktik komunikasi penuh menggunakan bahasa Arab. Materi yang disampaikan adalah tema at-ta‘āruf (perkenalan diri) yang relevan bagi pembelajar pemula. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa alih kode dari bahasa Arab ke bahasa Indonesia, maupun sebaliknya, berperan penting dalam mempermudah pemahaman pembelajar. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa strategi komunikasi dan alih kode merupakan faktor kunci dalam efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui media digital. This study examines communication strategies in Arabic learning videos produced by non-native speakers. The rapid growth of technology has enabled Arabic learning through digital media such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through observation and documentation of Arabic learning videos. The analysis focuses on three aspects: (1) communication strategies employed by non-native instructors, (2) learning content, and (3) forms of code-switching used in the videos. The findings reveal that instructors apply communication strategies such as formal openings in Arabic followed by Indonesian translation, repeated pronunciation of sentences, and full practice of communication in Arabic. The selected material is at-ta‘āruf (self-introduction), which is particularly relevant for beginners. Furthermore, code-switching between Arabic and Indonesian is frequently used to enhance learners’ comprehension. These results highlight the importance of communication strategies and code-switching as key factors in the effectiveness of Arabic language learning through digital media.
