Abstract: This study was conducted to determine the development of language proficiency of early childhood and the influence of small group oral language learning methods to the language proficiency of early childhood at Pos Paud Rosalia Malang. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design, with one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used was a questionnaire language skills of early childhood 4-5 years, while the small group oral language learning modules used to provide treatment. All members of the population of 27 pupils used as research subjects . The data obtained, were analyzed using test of Paired Samples T-Test. The results showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is influence of small group oral language learning methods to increase language proficiency in early childhood. Future studies are expected to conduct further research with different techniques of oral language, research designs as well as wider number of subjects. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini dan pengaruh metode pembelajaran small group oral language terhadap kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini di POS PAUD Rosalia. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimen-semu, dengan desain one-group pretest-postest design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini 4-5 tahun, sedangkan modul pembelajaran small group oral language digunakan untuk memberikan perlakuan. Semua anggota populasi sebanyak 27 murid dijadikan subjek penelitian. Data yang diperoleh, dinalisis menggunakan uji beda Paired Sampels T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,000 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran small group oral language terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa pada anak usia dini. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan teknik oral language yang berbeda, desain penelitian yang berbeda serta jumlah subjek yang lebih luas Kata kunci: anak usia dini, metode pembelajaran small group oral language, kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini
