Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences of mathematical thinking skills between students who use wingeom software media and manipulative media in the fifth grade elementary school mathematics learning in the XIV group of Bengkulu City. This research is quantitative research. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest comparation group design. The population in this study were all fifth grade elementary school students in group XIV of Bengkulu City. The sample is a fifth grade student of SDN gugus XIV Bengkulu City, which is a state school. The sampling technique uses purposive random sampling. The drawing results obtained by the sample were students of VC class SDN 42 Bengkulu City, amounting to 23 students into the experimental class I and class VA SDN 45 Bengkulu City, amounting to 25 students into the experimental class II. The research instrument used a test in the form of a description question that given through pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique in this study is quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely the t-test. Data from the research results processed using the t-test by looking at the gain values ​​obtained, by the value of tcount of 2.25 and the value of ttable of 2.01. Statistically, there are tcount (2.25)> ttable (2.01) at a significant level of 5%, it can be concluded that there are differences of mathematical thinking skills between students using manipulative media and wingeom software media in mathematics learning in class V SD XIV group of Bengkulu City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning models assisted by pictorial word card media on Thematic learning on student learning outcomes. This research is quantitative research. The research method used was Quasi Experiment with the type of design The Matching Only Pretest-Posstest Control Group Design. The population of this study was first-grade students of SDN Gugus 10 Lebong Regency. The sample in this study was class I SDN 54 Lebong and Class I SDN 16 Lebong. The sampling technique uses Cluster Random Sampling. The total sample of 52 students consisted of class I SDN 54 Lebong totaling 25 students as the experimental class and class I SDN 16 Lebong totaling 27 students as the control class. The research instrument used was in the form of a knowledge learning test in the form of Multiple Choices given through Pretest and Posttest, for the learning outcomes aspects of attitudes and skills the instruments used were observation guidelines. The data analysis technique in this study is quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using the t-test. Based on the results of this study it is known that the value of t-count on SBDP subjects is 5.43 and in Indonesian Language subjects is 2.65 greater than t-table at a 5% significance level of 1.675. Thus the Ha hypothesis is proven and accepted. This shows that there are influences on student learning outcomes in Thematic learning that use discovery learning models assisted with pictorial word card media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning result in thematic lessons using models of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning (PBL) fifth grade students of Elementary School Cluster V of Bengkulu City. The research method used was Quasi Experimental with a type of PretestPosttest Comparison Group research design. The study population was all fifth grade students of Elementary School Group V of Bengkulu City. The research sample was fifth grade B at SDN 02 for experimental class 1 and fifth grade A student at SDN 09 for experimental class 2. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instrument using tests of cognitive learning result multiple choice questions was given through pretest and posttest. Learning result for attitudes and skills using observation sheet instruments and using simple descriptive analysis to calculate the percentage of each descriptor. Based on the results of data analysis obtained (1) the highest attitude aspect is the aspect that uses the Discovery Learning model, namely the attitude of curiosity while the highest attitude for the Problem Based Learning model is also an attitude of curiosity (2) the highest learning result of the skill aspects for the Discovery Learning model are the skills of item B while the highest attitude for the Problem Based Learning model is the skill item C. (3) H0 is accepted so that there is no significant difference between students using discovery learning models and problem based learning models.
