Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemik Covid-19 memberikan banyak dampak buruk bagi kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Kegiatan pembelajaran yang awalnya dilakukan secara tatap muka langsung antara guru dan murid, berubah menjadi pembelajaran daring. Kegiatan pembelajaran daring ini tentunya hanya memungkinkan bagi daerah-daerah yang keadaan ekonomi dan kemajuan IPTEKnya memadai. Untuk lembaga pendidikan yang berada di daerah yang tidak memungkinkan pelaksanaan pembelajaran secara daring, maka solusi satu-satunya adalah dengan belajar dari rumah tanpa dampingan dari guru dengan harapan orang tua siswa dapat mendampingi anak mereka untuk belajar. Namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa orang tua siswa tidak mendampingi anak untuk belajar dikarenakan kurangnya waktu dan kemampuan mereka dalam mendampingi anak dalam belajar. Akibatnya, kemampuan anak dalam memahami materi yang dipelajari secara mandiri dangat rendah sehingga dibutuhkan kegiatan pendampingan belajar agar mereka dapat mempelajari ulang materi tersebut. Kegiatan pendampingan belajar ini dilakukan di SDI Tureng, Kecamatan Reok Barat, Kabupaten Manggarai dengan jumlah siswa yang terlibat sebanyak 20 oramg. Kegiatan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi belajar siswa, meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman materi matematika yang mereka pelajari ketika masa pandemik, sehingga dapat membantu permasalahan yang dialami siswa Sekolah Dasar Impres Tureng kelas VI dalam memahami materi matematika. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara mengajar (mendampingi) secara langsung dan tatap muka. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa pemberian penjelasan tentang materi-materi kelas V yang mereka pelajari ketika massa pandemik dan peralihan serta memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk menyelesaikan latihan soal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami materi. Kegiatan dilakukan di dua tempat yaitu di rumah warga dan di sekolah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan sore hari. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa dapat memahami materi matematika kelas V yang sebelumnya tidak dapat mereka pelajari secara optimal di tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil ini diukur dengan menggunakan nilai pretest dan postest. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan postest ini, rata-rata peningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa sebesar 45,9%.Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic has had many negative impacts on people's lives, especially in the field of education. Learning activities that were initially carried out face-to-face between teachers and students, turned into courageous learning. This online learning activity is of course only possible for regions with adequate economic conditions and scientific and technological progress. For educational institutions located in areas where learning is not possible, the only solution is to study from home without the assistance of a teacher in the hope that parents can accompany their children to study. However, it is possible that parents of students do not accompany their children to study due to lack of time and their ability to accompany children in learning. As a result, children's ability to understand material that is studied independently is very low, so learning assistance activities are needed so that they can re-learn the material. This learning assistance activity was carried out at SDI Tureng, West Reok District, Manggarai Regency with a total of 20 students involved. This mentoring activity was carried out with the aim of fostering student learning motivation, increasing their ability to understand the mathematical material they studied during the pandemic, so that it could help with problems that occurred in class VI students of Impres Tureng Elementary School in understanding mathematics material. The activity method is carried out by teaching (accompanying) directly and face to face. The activities carried out were in the form of providing explanations about the class V material they learned during the pandemic and transition period and providing opportunities for students to complete practice questions to improve their ability to understand the material. Activities carried out in two places, namely in residents' homes and at school. The activities are carried out in the afternoon. The result of this activity is that students can understand grade V math material that they previously could not learn optimally in the 2020/2021 school year. These results were measured using pretest and posttest scores. Based on the results of this pretest and posttest, the average increase in students' comprehension ability is 45.9%.
