Abstract

The river has ver important function for the life of living things, the need for river management with the aim of preservation, harmony of the ecosystem and increasing the balanced utilization of natural resources for humans. Ciwalen river is included in one of the upstream rivers of the Citanduy River Basin starting from Gunung Cakrabuana, has an administrative location in Nanggewer Village, Pagerageung district or is in the north of Tasikmalaya Regency. Citandung watershed in one of the critical watersheds of 108 critical watersheds in Indonesia, based on the medium term development (RPJM) for 2010 – 2014, the Citanduy watershed is one of the watersheds proposed as priority watersheds in the 2020 – 2024 KLHK srategic plan. The upstream part of the Ciwalen River from the Citanduy River Basin, based on the geological Map of the Tasikmalaya Sheet, West Java, is located on Gunung Cakrabuana which is an old volkanic product with latoson – Andosol soil types which have a rather sensitive level of erosion, erosion faktors can also be caused by community acivities. The formation of the Segara Anakan Lagoon can be used as evidence that the level of erosion is strong in the Citanduy River Basin. Efforts to minimize the increase in the rate of erosion by carrying out convervation through vegetative methods and involving community participation by implementing the heritage of the Sundanese community related to environmental values, this is done to increase water infiltration of optimize the potensial of natural resources. As an effort to address the problems that accur in the Citanduy watershed through community service, namely conducting socialization on river convervation, providing an understanding of the contribution of rivers in realizing food security, and instilling an understanding of the existence of rivers that must remain sustainable. Community service activities in Nanggewer Village show that the level of community pariticipation in this activity is very high starting from the socialization to the conservation form of land use, namely planting trees and plants, wih the awareness tha there is a balance berween meeting the needs of the natural environment and the community’s needs for good food security in the long term. In short and increasing the community’s economy in the long run through natural tourism.

Abstract

Changes in marine landforms in coastal areas are relatively rapid and need to be analyzed to determine environmental management policies. Complex marine landforms are found in the coastal areas of Pangandaran Regency and have strong pressure to fulfill community activities, not only for local communities but also for outside communities. Basically, community activities are adapted to regional environmental conditions. The aim is to optimize the potential of natural resources and minimize environmental degradation, but in reality, this has not been fully implemented. The method used in this research is a descriptive method using a field survey approach. Marine landforms resulting from the accretion process in the Pangandaran coastal area are spit landforms, aeolian-marine sedimentation in the form of coastal dunes, fluvio-marine sedimentation in the form of estuaries and alates, organic-marine landforms and white sand beaches associated with reefs. The landforms resulting from erosion are Cliffs, notches, wave-cut platforms, stacks, and stumps. The impact of landforms resulting from sedimentation in the Pangandaran coastal area is mainly spit landforms that cover river mouths and the occurrence of flooding, puddles, and even accumulation of organic waste, landforms resulting from erosion, the impact of which is the decline of the coastline accompanied by avalanches of material towards the sea, especially on beaches that have non-resistant rocks such as sedimentary rocks and alluvial deposits. Management of the Pangandaran coastal environmental area must be carried out in an integrated manner, land buritan (hinterland), which has steep slopes and resistant rock, is designated as limited production land, and the development of the spit at the river mouth is made into a jetty, and the beach has beach cups waves with rip currents and water bathymetry. -10 meters above sea level, a wave-protecting wall must be built, and the coastal border area must be used as vegetative-based conservation land.Keywords:  Marine landforms, Coastal Management, Pangandaran

Abstract

Abstrak: Wilayah kepesisiran selatan Jawa Barat memiliki kondisi geologi dan geomorfologi serta aktivitas masyarakat yang kompleks, terlihat dari beragamnya jenis batuan, dan bentuk lahan marine seperti: cliff, tombolo, notch, spit, estuari, stump, stack, coastal dune, pasir putih berasosiasi Reeffrom. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis terhadap perubahan bentuk lahan marine relatif dinamis yang bersifat abrasi maupun akresi, analisis tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan rujukan atau referensi terhadap pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan wilayah pesisir di Kabupaten Pangandaran. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis bentuk lahan marine menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif survei, teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei lapangan, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengamatan lapangan dan mengklasifikasikan perkembangan bentuk lahan abrasi atau akresi, serta pemetaan. Perkembangan bentuk lahan yang bersifat akresi di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Pangandaran pada bentuk lahan spit dapat menutupi muara sungai berpotensi terjadinya banjir. Bentuk lahan hasil abrasi dampaknya terjadi kemunduran garis pantai yang disertai dengan longsoran. Pengelolaan lingkungan pesisir di Kabupaten Pangandaran harus dilakukan secara terintergrasi, daratan yang memiliki  ketinggian 300 – 600 mdpl dan kemiringan lereng >150 digunakan lahan konservatif, bentulahan spit yang berkembang pada muara sungai perlu dibuatkan jetty dan groin, tembok penahan gelombang pada pantai yang mengalami kemunduran, wilayah sempadan pantai digunakan sebagai lahan konvervatif berbasis vegetatif.  Abstract: The coastal area of West Java has complex geological and geomorphological conditions and community activities, seen from the variety of rock types, and marine landforms such as: cliff, Tombolo, notch, spit, estuary, stump, stack, coastal dune, white sand associated with Reefform. The purpose of the study was to analyze changes in relatively dynamic marine landforms that are abrasion and accretion, the analysis can be used as a reference material for the management and utilization of coastal areas in Pangandaran Regency. The method used to analyze marine landforms uses a descriptive survey research method, data collection techniques through field surveys, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. Data analysis was carried out through field observations and classifying the development of abrasion or accretion landforms, and mapping. The development of accretionary landforms in the coastal area of Pangandaran Regency on the spit landform can cover river mouths that have the potential for flooding. The impact of abrasion landforms is the decline of the coastline accompanied by landslides. Coastal environmental management in Pangandaran Regency must be carried out in an integrated manner, land with an altitude of 300 - 600 meters above sea level and a slope of >150 is used as conservative land, spit formations that develop at river mouths need to be made into jetties and groins, wave retaining walls on beaches that are receding, coastal border areas are used as vegetative-based conservative land.Keywords: Marine landform; Coastal Management; Pangandaran
