Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi dan melatih guru-guru di MI Tarbiyatul Wathan Kraksaan dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Cinta sebagai upaya mewujudkan pendidikan karakter yang berkualitas. Pendidikan karakter yang berbasis pada nilai cinta sangat penting dalam membentuk generasi yang tidak hanya cerdas secara akademik, tetapi juga memiliki sikap yang berbudi pekerti luhur. Pendampingan dilakukan melalui dua tahapan utama, yaitu pelatihan dan implementasi langsung di kelas. Pada tahap pelatihan, para guru diberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai cinta dalam kurikulum pembelajaran, termasuk teknik pendekatan emosional yang dapat mempererat hubungan antara guru dan siswa. Selanjutnya, dalam tahap pendampingan, dilakukan evaluasi dan bimbingan secara langsung di kelas untuk memastikan keberhasilan penerapan kurikulum tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa para guru semakin paham dan terampil dalam menerapkan pendekatan berbasis cinta dalam pembelajaran. Siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam motivasi belajar dan rasa nyaman di kelas. Dengan demikian, pelatihan dan pendampingan ini berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan karakter di MI Tarbiyatul Wathan. Diharapkan, model ini dapat menjadi contoh bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai cinta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the dynamics of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation among students in memorising Arabic vocabulary (mufradat) at the Bustanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School in Mlokorejo, Jember. The research problem focusses on the complex interaction between these two types of motivation within the unique context of pesantren education. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and then analysed thematically. The research findings reveal that santri motivation undergoes a dynamic transformation, forming a "motivational trajectory," from extrinsic motivation (such as fear of punishment or shame) towards more internalised and intrinsic motivation, triggered by an awareness of the value and benefits of vocabulary for understanding yellow books and a pesantren environment that supports value internalisation.
