Abstract

Melanoma is a skin cancer disease that occurs due to abnormal growth of melanocytes, which are cells that can produce pigment in the skin. Melanoma is one of the most vicious skin cancers and can easily spread to other organs in the human body, such as the lungs and brain. This expert system for diagnosing melanoma skin disease is a computer-based system that is used as a tool for diagnosing melanoma skin disease based on a dynamic knowledge base. The purpose of this research is to build an expert system that can identify Melanoma Skin Disease. An expert system built using the Bayes theorem method in a diagnostic process based on expert knowledge or experience. The results of this study present an expert system capable of diagnosing melanoma skin disease quickly, precisely and accurately. These results are presented in a system built in the form of a website using PHP programming with a MySQL database. Overall this expert system can be useful for patients or the general public to be able to know clearly about melanoma skin disease from the symptoms and can provide solutions in handling it.

Abstract

Among teenagers or adults, body shape greatly affects a person's confidence. Most people will be very confident if their body shape is ideal, where the person will be very confident speaking in public. Different things with people who have a body shape that is too thin/fat, so their confidence is less to appear in public. To get the ideal body shape they will do everything possible, one of which is dieting, taking weight loss capsules, and so on. They do not know the dangers of dieting too strictly and taking weight loss capsules carelessly which can make them contract Nervosa disease. To get the results of the expert system, the case-based reasoning method will be used. After this application is built, the result obtained is the type of nervosa disease based on the symptoms felt by the user.

Abstract

PT. Nur Haramain Mulia Tour still handled several umrah administrative processes manually, including pilgrim registration, data retrieval, and report preparation. This condition reduced efficiency and increased the risk of data loss and service delays. This study aimed to develop a web-based umrah administration information system to improve administrative services, facilitate online registration, and support more structured data management. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development approach, which consists of requirement planning, system design, and implementation stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and literature study, while the application was implemented using the Laravel framework and MySQL database. The resulting system supports major administrative functions, including registration, pilgrim data management, information access, and report generation within a centralized database environment. System evaluation was conducted using black-box testing for internal validation and questionnaire-based external testing involving administrative staff and prospective pilgrims. The external testing results showed a satisfaction score of 94%, indicating that the system was highly acceptable to users. The study concludes that the proposed web-based system improves the effectiveness and efficiency of umrah administrative services and assists both staff and pilgrims in managing registration and information processes more accurately and systematically.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have accelerated the digitalization of educational services, including Indonesia’s student admission process (PPDB). This study designs and evaluates a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) to map student-origin distributions and construct promotion zones that guide PPDB outreach strategies. The system was built with CodeIgniter and Leaflet for interactive mapping, while applicant addresses/school origins were processed via geocoding. Outputs include point maps, density heatmaps, administrative-area aggregation (urban village/sub-district), and simple distance buffers (e.g., 1–3 km) to derive rule-based priority promotion zones (thresholds on density and proximity to the school). Evaluation comprised functional testing (black box) and user assessments using questionnaires (Likert/SUS). Results indicate that the system expedites registration, reduces the risk of data loss, simplifies data summarization, and provides promotion-zoning maps that help committees target outreach more effectively. The contributions are: (1) a PPDB web-GIS model that combines origin mapping with rule-based promotion zoning, (2) a replicable operational workflow, and (3) recommendations for future work, including advanced analytics dashboards and automated notifications
