Abstract

The selection of candidates to become Service Ambassadors is an important and complex process. Assessors need to consider many factors and the relative weight of each factor to ensure the best candidate is selected for the position. One method that can be used in candidate selection is the ORESTE method. The ORESTE method is a multi-criteria decision-making method developed by J.P. Brans and B. Mareschal in 1994. This method allows assessors to aggregate multiple criteria and consider the relative weight of each criterion to compare alternatives and produce a ranking of candidates based on the highest relative value. In the context of Service Ambassador selection, the ORESTE method can assist assessors in solving complex decision-making problems and ensuring the best candidate is selected for the position. The method allows raters to consider multiple criteria and consider the relative weight of each criterion, resulting in a ranking of candidates based on the highest relative value. Thus, the use of the ORESTE method in determining the selection of Tourism Ambassadors can simplify and speed up the candidate selection process, as well as increase accuracy and satisfaction in decision making. By using the ORESTE method, the results of the decision to select the winner of the Service Ambassador event are obtained with a preference value of 4.42

Abstract

Among teenagers or adults, body shape greatly affects a person's confidence. Most people will be very confident if their body shape is ideal, where the person will be very confident speaking in public. Different things with people who have a body shape that is too thin/fat, so their confidence is less to appear in public. To get the ideal body shape they will do everything possible, one of which is dieting, taking weight loss capsules, and so on. They do not know the dangers of dieting too strictly and taking weight loss capsules carelessly which can make them contract Nervosa disease. To get the results of the expert system, the case-based reasoning method will be used. After this application is built, the result obtained is the type of nervosa disease based on the symptoms felt by the user.

Abstract

Pada saat ini banyak sekali pabrik yang memiliki kualitas alat baik dan mendukung dalam proses pekerjaan manusia. Pemilihan alat yang baik merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi sebagian investor besar pada pabrik-pabrik di indonesia, pasti membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama dalam menentukan pemilihan alat yang diinginkan, apalagi dengan harga yang tidak murah. Sama hal  pada pabrik kelapa sawit yang dimana proses pengelolahan sawit hingga menjadi minyak sangatlah panjang. Pada penelitian ini penulis bermaksud menciptakan sebuah sistem aplikasi terkait pemilihan mesin yang baik serta akurat untuk jenis mesin pemotong drum boiler pada PT Andalas Stell menggunakan metode Oreste, yang berdasarkan perbandingan data ketahanan mesin dan dana perawatan serta kemudahan menggunakan alat tersebut

Abstract

Human Resources (HR) is a valuable asset for every company, and good management greatly affects operational success. PT XYZ faces challenges in the process of appointing contract employees to permanent employees which is currently done manually, causing a slow and less accurate process. This research aims to develop a method that simplifies and accelerates the process using Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) to simplify and speed up the decision-making process in appointing contract employees to become permanent employees at PT. XYZ, so that decisions taken can be faster, more precise and accurate. This method was chosen for its ability to reduce errors and optimize the assessment with various criteria. The results showed that Alternative 9 was ranked first with a Qi value of 0.9685, showing the best performance among other candidates. The implementation of the WASPAS method is expected to help PT XYZ in making faster, more precise, and accurate decisions, thereby increasing efficiency and objectivity in employee hiring, as well as improving the performance and stability of the company's human resources.

Abstract

Increased global warming and awareness of the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions have strengthened the focus on energy efficiency in various sectors, including the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry. In this context, the selection of air conditioning (AC) systems becomes crucial in providing thermal comfort. However, decisions regarding air conditioning systems are often complex as they involve considerations of energy efficiency, operational costs, system reliability, and environmental impact. To address this complexity, Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) emerged as an effective multi-criteria analysis method. However, the application of COPRAS in determining AC system traffickers is still limited. This research explores the possible application of COPRAS in this context and identifies key factors to consider. The evaluation results show that Medan Elektronik and Citra Inovasi Prima are the top choices in the selection of AC system traffickers. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more sophisticated analysis methods in the HVAC industry as well as assist decision makers in selecting more appropriate and sustainable air conditioning systems.

Abstract

The selection of the Head of Production is crucial for ensuring the operational and strategic success of a company. This study employs the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method to provide an objective and structured approach to evaluating candidates for this key position. The ARAS method integrates various criteria, both qualitative and quantitative, to facilitate a comprehensive assessment. The research identifies relevant criteria, applies the ARAS method to evaluate candidates, and assesses the effectiveness and efficiency of this method in decision-making. The final results indicate that Head of Production 3 achieved the highest rank with a score of 0.104, demonstrating the best qualifications and capabilities for the position. Consequently, Head of Production 3 is deemed the most suitable candidate, expected to enhance the company's operational performance and success. This study contributes to the literature on the application of the ARAS method in employee selection and provides practical guidelines for companies to improve their selection processes.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the quality of university web pages in Medan City using two decision-making methods, namely Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) and Organization Rangement Et Syntest De Relatonnelles (ORESTE). University websites play a very important role in reflecting the identity, vision, and mission of the institution, as well as improving its reputation in today's digital era. However, not all universities in Medan have implemented optimal standards in managing their web pages. Therefore, the results of this study show that based on the COPRAS method, there are 3 top universities, namely Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU) ranked first with the highest score of 100.0000, followed by Quality University with a score of 93.7500 ranked second, and Harapan University Medan with a score of 91.4063 ranked third. Meanwhile, using the ORESTE method also ranked UMSU first with a score of 5.00, followed by Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi in second place, and Santo Thomas Catholic University in third place with a score of 7.17. The similarity of the first rank between the two methods shows consistency in the recognition of the quality of the UMSU web page. However, differences were seen in the second and third rankings, where COPRAS ranked Universitas Quality and Universitas Harapan Medan, while ORESTE ranked Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi and Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas. This difference reflects the different evaluation approaches of the two methods. The findings are expected to assist universities in Medan in developing more effective strategies for improving user experience and strengthening institutional reputation.

Abstract

This research analyzes the application of the Multi Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method model in determining the Pilot Area at PT XYZ. This method is used to evaluate various performance criteria, including customer satisfaction, productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency. Currently, the Pilot Area assessment and selection process at PT XYZ is still done manually, which causes a lack of accuracy and efficiency. MOORA was chosen for its ability to handle multi-criteria decision-making problems more systematically and objectively. The analysis results showed that Alternative Area 7 obtained the highest final score of 0.39, placing it as an area with superior performance. The application of MOORA is proven to improve accuracy and efficiency in the Pilot Area determination process, providing a more objective basis for decision-making. By using MOORA, PT XYZ can evaluate area performance more comprehensively and accountably. This research recommends that PT XYZ implement the MOORA method thoroughly and conduct periodic evaluations of the methods used. For theory development, PT XYZ can add specific evaluation criteria according to company needs. The implementation of these suggestions is expected to improve the quality of service and competitiveness of PT XYZ in the global market. Further research is expected to compare MOORA with other methods to strengthen the validity of the results. Thus, this research not only provides a practical contribution to PT XYZ but also adds academic insight into the application of multi-criteria optimization methods in the context of performance management and service improvement.

Abstract

Kampung Sejahtera is a densely populated area in the river basin of Medan City which often faces challenges in overcoming the spread of false information or hoaxes which can cause confusion and social loss. The lack of digital literacy among their members exacerbates this situation, so efforts are needed to improve their ability to manage digital information effectively. This service aims to optimize digital literacy among Kampung Sejahtera members in order to tackle the spread of hoaxes. Specifically, this service evaluates the current level of digital literacy, identifies types of hoaxes that often circulate, and develops and implements effective digital literacy programs. The effectiveness of the program is evaluated through post-training surveys and observation of member behavior after training. The service shows that members' initial digital literacy level is relatively low, especially in the ability to identify and counter hoaxes. The most frequently spread hoaxes include false information about health, politics and sensational news. After participating in the digital literacy training program, it is hoped that there will be a significant increase in members' ability to recognize and reduce the spread of hoaxes. They become more critical and careful in verifying information before sharing it. Optimizing digital literacy through appropriate training programs has proven effective in tackling hoaxes in Kampung Sejahtera.

Abstract

The current job search process often involves posting an announcement on paper or a banner on a notice board, or in front of the company’s location. Another common method is through job search applications, such as JobStreet and others. The first method has a drawback because people may not know when the job posting is published. Meanwhile, with the second method, many people hesitate to use these applications as they feel their skills may not be sufficient. To address these issues, an Android or web-based job search application is proposed to facilitate job sharing and job seeking within a nearby area, specifically within a single subdistrict. This application is targeted at individuals with a high school education level or lower, and the jobs shared are typically daily work requiring minimal skills, such as construction work, electrical repairs, gardening, cleaning, and similar tasks. A sorting algorithm will be implemented to help select the nearest and most suitable candidate for each job. To access the application, users must first register, enabling employers to post jobs and workers to find suitable positions.
