Abstract

This study aims to determine the value of character education in the Dewi Sekartaji figure in Wayang Timplong. This study was designed qualitatively, with data collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The study was carried out in Nganjuk Regency. The puppeteers (dhalang) and Wayang Timplong craftsmen were the study informants. The results show that 1) The Wayang figure of Dewi Sekartaji composes of gabahan eyes, ambangir nose, damis mouth, torso putri sariro, bolo arms, bokongan satrio, suku bambang legs, dodot putren clothing, putren bracelet jewelry, white and bromine. 2) The value of character education embedded in the dialogue and visual form of Wayang includes assertive, responsible, religious, independent, smooth, sharp, tough, skillful, warrior, innocent, alusan ‘gentle’, modest princess, gentleness, holy, faithful, nobility, wise, vigilant, determination, struggle, devotion, noble, and noble characters. This study finds that the Dewi Sekartaji figure is relevant with five-character education values, including religious (gentle, patient, innocent, smiling, holy, believing, religious, firm), nationalism (perwira ‘commander’, warrior, devoted), independent (sharp, tough, skillful, agile, vigilant, fighter, independent), integrity (good, wise, honest, simple, loyal, great, responsible, assertive). This research can be used as inspiration for learning materials and can be used as reference and comparison material for researchers who will conduct research with the same focus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas keputusan gubernur nusa tenggara timur No. 135/KEP/HK/2024 tentang gugus tugas pencegahan dan penanganan tindak pidana perdagangan orang, serta mengidentifikasi hambatan apa saja yang ditemui oleh pemerintah ketika menjalankan peraturan tersebut. Kejahatan perdagangan orang banyak terjadi di daerah provinsi NTT. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum empiris yang artinya bahwa, peneliti melakukan penelitian secara langsung di tempat penelitian. Pemerintah provinsi NTT sudah menetapkan beberapa kebijakan untuk mengatasi kejahatan yang terjadi, salah satu diantaranya adalah keputusan gubernur No. 135/KEP/HK/2024, akan tetapi peraturan tersebut belum mampu untuk mengatasi kejahatan yang terjadi, hal ini dilihat dari data pada tahun 2025 periode bulan januari-agustus, terdapat 84 orang migran ilegal asal provinsi NTT yang meninggal dunia, ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan yang sudah ditetapkan belum mampu untuk mengatasi kejahatan perdagangan orang di provinsi NTT. Adapun beberapa hambatan yang menghambat efektivitas dari kebijakan yang ada, baik itu hambatan dari pemerintah setempat itu sendiri maupun masyarakat yang hendak menjadi korban kejahatan tersebut, sehingga hal ini yang perlu di perhatikan oleh pemerintah maupun masyarakat provinsi NTT, agar bisa bekerjasama supaya masalah kejahatan perdagangan orang dapat diatasi dari provinsi NTT.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the role of zakat in poverty alleviation in Indonesia, focusing on the impact of zakat as measured by the Zakat Impact Assessment (KDZ) and the CIBEST Welfare Index. Using a quantitative descriptive analysis method with an ANCOVA approach, this study examines the relationship between these variables in the period 2018-2022. The results of the analysis indicate that zakat plays a significant role in poverty reduction and welfare improvement, with a greater impact in areas with higher welfare. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant negative impact on the effectiveness of zakat distribution, as reflected in a decrease in the KDZ level. The average KDZ during the study period was 0.503 and the average CIBEST was 0.297. Two-Way ANOVA analysis showed that the CIBEST variable significantly influenced KDZ (F = 4.273, p < 0.001), with a large impact (η² = 0.558), while the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant effect with a moderate impact (η² = 0.128). This study suggests that to increase the impact of zakat, there needs to be stronger synergy between zakat institutions, the government, and the community as well as the integration of zakat into broader development policies, especially in areas with high poverty rates.
