Abstract

The Dutch came to Minahasa land to exploit the fertile Minahasa land with various natural resources, but there was a pattern of social change that occurred between the Dutch who were successful in "making friends" with the Minahasa people. This slowly changed the structure of Minahasa society. So Minahasa is an area famous for having the largest and longest Dutch influence in Indonesian history. This article uses library research methods related to critical historical methods. The steps in this research are associated with using historical research methods which include :heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The Dutch saw a lot of instability and rebellion in several areas that occurred in controlling the Dutch East Indies government and took the initiative to recruit military members again in a more intensive and selective way. The recruitment process for Dutch East Indies military members carried out in Minahasa was not followed by a rejection process. The presence of the Dutch in the lives of the Minahasan people created stereotypes for the people during colonialism. This certainly creates a paradigm for people's thinking during colonialism. The results of the reconstruction of the thoughts of the Minahasa people who had united with the Dutch certainly gave rise to resistance and disagreement regarding this friendly relationship.

Abstract

Faith-based schools utilize social media as a new public space to promote their Islamic identity. This research focuses on the competition between three faith-based schools in Indonesia, as depicted through their digital content on social media platforms. This research observes the social media accounts of educational institutions that are the object of research. This study uses a qualitative method. The research design follows the qualitative content analysis framework developed by Bengtsson. Data collection was obtained from in-depth interviews and documentation. The analysis technique used is content analysis. The validity of the data was triangulated. This research has significant findings that the three Islamic educational institutions investigated proactively compete to articulate the meaning of Islam according to their ideological affiliation, including concepts, content, activities and identity of educational approaches. The implications of this competition are significant because it encourages healthy competition in promoting educational ideology and categorizing Islam based on ideological affiliation. In addition, this research opens the way to a deeper understanding of the diversity of Islamic interpretations and practices in society.

Abstract

Untuk memenuhi tuntutan sumberdaya manusia yang unggul dan kompeten di bidangnya, maka guru harus membekali dirinya dengan ilmu-ilmu yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan. Hal ini dimungkinkan dengan diberinya kebebasan beraktivitas dan berkreativitas selama batas-batas wajar tertentu. Guru dituntut untuk belajar banyak, bukan hanya dari proses kegiatan belajar mengajar saja, tetapi juga dari kegiatan-kegiatan di luar yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensinya. Oleh karena itu, Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta mengadakan kegiatan “Diklat Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah guru MGMP Sejarah MA se-DI Yogyakarta”. Peserta pada kegiatan tersebut adalah guru-guru sejarah yang berjumlah sejumlah 53 guru. Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung selama lima hari dan dilanjutkan dengan penugasan secara mandiri terstruktur. Selain mendapatkan pengetahuan baru, peserta diklat juga berkesempatan untuk berinteraksi dan berdiskusi dengan rekan sejawat, yang dapat membuka wawasan dan menambah inspirasi dalam mengembangkan metode pengajaran. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada teori, tetapi juga pada praktik langsung yang memungkinkan para guru untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang mereka peroleh selama diklat. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, diharapkan para guru dapat lebih termotivasi dalam menciptakan karya tulis ilmiah dan inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah mereka. Setelah kegiatan berakhir, para peserta mendapatkan sertifikat setara 32 JP yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan profesi. Sertifikat ini merupakan bentuk pengakuan atas komitmen dan usaha mereka dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sebagai guru. Melalui kegiatan semacam ini, MGMP Sejarah MA se-DI Yogyakarta berharap dapat terus mendukung dan mendorong para guru untuk terus berkembang dan berinovasi, sehingga dapat menciptakan generasi muda yang unggul dan kompeten di masa depan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to review the extent of the views of researchers in reviewing the implementation of Law No. 36 of 2009 concerning Health, especially related to the dangers of smoking through various fields of science and analysis of various problem focuses. The objectives of this study include analyzing the scope of the most discussed issues in scientific articles related to the implementation of Health Law No. 36 of 2009 on the dangers of smoking. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative approach, using the literature study method and secondary data from the review of 35 scientific articles that have been published before August 2023. This research uses the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review) systematic review method, which includes identification, screening, inclusion, and eligibility, and is then analyzed based on article findings. The results of the study showed that, of the many scientific articles on research that have been published, five problem areas were found to be the most widely discussed, namely: (1) the dangers of exposure to cigarette smoke, (2) smoke-free areas, (3) behavior in social relationships, (4) prevention efforts, and (5) smoking cessation efforts. These five focus issues have added to the discussions regarding the implementation of Law No. 36/2009 on Health related to smoking. This research provides insight into various aspects of health policy implementation related to the dangers of smoking. It emphasizes the need for further evaluation and action to improve the effectiveness of this policy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the motivation of students participating in martial arts clubs (UKM) under the Student Sports Federation (FORSA) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with four informants representing various martial arts disciplines. The findings reveal that students’ motivation is predominantly driven by intrinsic factors such as interest, personal satisfaction, and the desire to develop physical and mental abilities. Extrinsic motivations, including social support, peer encouragement, and opportunities for achievement, also reinforce students’ enthusiasm for active participation. Martial arts activities within FORSA offer extensive benefits physically, mentally, and socially—by enhancing fitness, building character, and fostering soft skills such as discipline, leadership, and self-confidence. Overall, FORSA plays a crucial role as a platform for character development and strengthening the identity of resilient, sportsmanlike, and integrity-driven students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi adaptasi psikososial, tantangan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang dialami oleh mahasiswa baru Program Studi Pendidikan IPS UIN Jakarta dalam menghadapi lingkungan akademik dan sosial yang baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam terhadap empat narasumber, yaitu mahasiswa baru tahun pertama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menerapkan berbagai strategi adaptasi, seperti manajemen waktu, pengendalian emosi, komunikasi aktif, dan refleksi diri. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi meliputi kesulitan akademik, tekanan sosial, kelelahan fisik, dan perasaan canggung dalam berinteraksi. Namun, faktor dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman, serta motivasi internal yang kuat terbukti berperan penting dalam mempercepat proses penyesuaian diri. Penelitian ini juga menegaskan bahwa adaptasi psikososial tidak bersifat seragam, melainkan proses yang unik dan dinamis yang membentuk kedewasaan emosional, kemandirian, serta kemampuan sosial mahasiswa baru.

Abstract

Pemilihan Umum Presiden dan Wakil Presiden tahun 2024 menjadi momentum penting bagi keterlibatan politik Generasi Z sebagai kelompok pemilih terbesar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk partisipasi, faktor yang memengaruhi, serta dinamika perilaku politik Gen Z dalam proses pemilu. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, studi literatur, dan survei daring kepada responden berusia 17–26 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gen Z tidak hanya berpartisipasi secara elektoral melalui penggunaan hak pilih di TPS, tetapi juga aktif dalam aktivitas politik digital seperti diskusi daring, kampanye media sosial, dan penyebaran informasi politik. Faktor penggerak partisipasi mereka meliputi pengaruh keluarga dan teman sebaya, literasi politik digital, paparan media sosial, serta kesadaran diri sebagai warga negara. Namun, tingginya arus informasi di dunia digital juga menimbulkan tantangan berupa misinformasi, polarisasi, dan rendahnya kedalaman pemahaman politik. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa Gen Z memiliki potensi besar sebagai agen perubahan dalam demokrasi Indonesia, terutama jika didukung oleh penguatan literasi politik, ekosistem digital yang sehat, serta lingkungan pendidikan yang mendukung partisipasi politik kritis dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Student Activity Units (UKM) in developing the potential and improving the achievements of students in the Social Studies Education Department at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving students active in the LDK Syahid and FORSA UKM. The findings show that participation in UKM helps students sharpen their leadership, communication, and discipline skills, as well as enhance both academic and non-academic achievements. UKM also contributes to shaping student character to become more independent, responsible, and hardworking. Despite challenges such as uneven internal coordination, the support of campus facilities and a familial atmosphere help sustain the activities of UKM. This study affirms that UKM serves as an essential partner for the university in supporting comprehensive and character-based student development.
