Abstract

The aims of this study are to describe the intrinsic elements and education values of the short stories in Jaya Baya Magazine in the edition of August to October 2014, and to describe the relevance of the intrinsic elements and education value of the short sories in Jaya Baya Magazine as teaching materials in Javanese literature appreciation in Senior High School class X. The results showed that the majority themes in the short stories is traditional-based themes. The plot used by the authors in the short sories is chronological plot. The characters consist of the main characters and supporting characters. Characterizations raised through the physical, psychological, and social background. Psychical character was raised by expository and dramatic technique. The setting includes places, time, and social. The point of view which is majority used is first-person perspective. The messages which are conveyed are regarding to attitudes towards oneself, against others, and against God. Moral values are most numerous in Welingmu and Mbah Kakung. Social value in Welingmu and Oncating Cahya. Cultural values in Nglegok. Religious value in Welingmu, Mbah Kakung, and Oncating Cahya. Based on the results of the study on the intrinsic elements and education values, the short stories in Jaya Baya Magazine in the edition of August to October 2014 can be used as teaching materials Javanese literature appreciation in Senior High School Class X.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe: (1) The dynamics of personality in the Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara; (2) The value of education in Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara; and (3) The relevance of Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara towards the teaching material of exposition text in Senior High School grade XI. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which used literature psychological approach. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. The data obtained from the Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara, interviews with authors, literary experts especially ketoprak, people who are competent in psychology, Javanese language teachers, and students. Validity of data obtained through triangulation of theories, is doing the same topic research then researchers compare the documents or theory related to the object of the research. Data analysis technique used is flow analysis which includes three components, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research are: (1) The personality dynamics of characters in the Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara are: (a) instinct, and (b) anxiety, The education values contained in the Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript are religious, moral, social , and culture, from those four values social values are the most dominant values; and (3) The relevance of the Rembulan Wungu ketoprakscript by Bondan Nusantara enables and can be used as teaching material for exposition of Javanese performing arts in Senior High School, this can be seen in terms of content, language, and the education values contained in it.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to identify the language politeness on short story in Crita Taman Putra rubric of Jaya Baya magazine as subject matters of Javanese in Junior High School at writing dialog involving parent’s basic competence. The result of this research concluded as follows: (1) the being maxim of language politeness of short story in Crita Taman Putra rubric of Jaya Baya magazine covering six maxims such as used maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosity, maxim of appreciation, maxim of simplicity, maxim of consensuality, and maxim of sympathy; (2) the background of the language politeness behaviour that was used in short story in Crita Taman Putra rubric of Jaya Baya magazine caused by four factors. Those were respect older people, respect people in the same age, teach and respect younger people, and match perception with other people; (3) short story in Crita Taman Putra rubric of Jaya Baya magazine relevance as subject matters with some supporting factors such as the used of language were understandable, the use of vocabulary that suitable with Javanese, and contain character education values.

Abstract

This research were aims to describe the physical element, describe the inner element, describe the value of character education, and describe the relevance of the intrinsic elements of the analysis and the value of character education in Serat  Wulangreh pupuh Sinom and its relevance as a matter of learning the Javanesse language in junior high school. This study is a qualitative research approach with analysis contents. From the results of the analysis of the data obtained a summary of that element of intrinsic Serat Wulangreh pupuh Sinom consists of inner and physical structure. Physical structure is diction of vocabulary, use of the kawi language form of words are tembung garba, tembung plutan and wancahan, the use of passive form (den, infix-in-), use of suffixes – ipun,-ira, and –neki, then use of prefixes nasal and tembung baliswara. The imaginary include visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Concrete words that indicate the actual meaning of the word, figurative language include hiperbola and the symbolism of objects. Rima include purwakanthi swara, purwakanthi sastra, and purwakanthi basa. Metrum includes paugeran guru wilangan, guru gatra and guru lagu. Typography using conventional typography. Inner structure is themes and a message. The theme of Serat Wulangreh pupuh Sinom is the grammar rules of behavior and a message contain message author about how it should behave towards yourself, other people and toward God. The value of character education includes values of honesty, hard work, religious values, the values of peace, the values of responsibility, the spirit of nationality and love for the motherland. Analysis of the intrinsic element and the value of character education in Serat Wulangreh pupuh Sinom worthy and relevant material to serve as learning the Javanesse language in junior high school in class VII semester II at KD 3.2 and KD 4.2.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to increase the quality of learning process in writing paragraph description diversion of krama and students’ paragraph description diversion of krama writing skill result through implementing modeling method and tematical images to X Social Science 2 students of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) with 2 cycles. Each cycle contains of 4 stages, namely; action plan, conduct action, observation and interpretation, and also analysis and reflection. Subject of this research are the students of X Social Science 2 of SMA N 3 Boyolali which contains of 36 students. The data collection techiques are observation, interview, and test. Validity data test use triangulation method and triangulation data souce. Data analysis techniques are descriptiv comparative and critical analysis. The result of this research indicate that the implementation of make a match model and macromedia unity can increase the quality of  learning process in writing paragraph description  and students’ paragraph description  writing skill result to X Social Science 2 students of SMA N 3 Boyolali. The result can be proven since preaction until cycle 2 in preaction, the average of learning qualiti is about 71. Then in cycle I learning quality becomes 75, and in the end of cycle II it increase becomes 80 or in other words it is a good category. Quality of students writing wangsalan skill also indicate an improve ment, in preaction students who get minimum standard score is about 44,44%, then in cycle I it becomes 77,78% and in the end of cycle 2 becomes 89%.
