Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan berbicara siswa antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai sig. (2 tailed) adalah 0,000. Itu lebih kecil dari 0,05. Ini berarti bahwa penggunaan strategi Alternatives to Questions memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa. Selain itu, ditemukan juga bahwa ada perbedaan efikasi diri siswa antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai sig. (2 tailed) adalah 0,000. Itu lebih kecil dari 0,05. itu menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi Alternatives to Questions memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap efikasi diri siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan strategi Alternatives to Questions memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa dan efikasi diri siswa kelas 11 MA Terpadu Duri

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan formatif bahasa Inggris pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri, tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang menggunakan angket untuk mengumpulkan data. Angket tersebut terdiri dari 30 pernyataan yang berkaitan dengan sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan penilaian formatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri. Ada 75 siswa sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan analisis data, peneliti menemukan bahwa sikap siswa bervariasi pada kedua komponen. Total rata-rata jawaban siswa 69.16% pada penilaian sumatif dan 78.54% pada penilaian formatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap siswa terhadap penilaian sumatif dan formatif di kelas VIII MTs Hubbulwathan Duri adalah tinggi.This research was aimed to find out the students’ attitude to English summative and formative assessment at the eighth grade students of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri, in the academic year 2017/2018. The type ofthe research was survey research which used questionnaire to collect the data. The questionnaire consisted of 30 items dealing with students’ attitude to summative and formative assessment. The subject of this research was the eighth grade students of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri. There were 75 students as sample. Based on the data analysis, the researcher found that the students’ attitude had various numbers for each component. The total mean of students’ answer was 69.16% in summative assessment and 78.54% in formative assessment. Based on the research finding, it shows that the students’ attitude to English summative and formative assessmentat the eighth grade of MTs Hubbulwathan Duri was high

Abstract

The authors intend to analyze and describe the moral and educational values contained in the Adit and Sopo Jarwo animation series in this journal. The research method used in this journal is qualitative with a descriptive approach, and the sample used in this study is the Adit and Sopo Jarwo title series with content analysis techniques. The data in this study are in the form of religious and moral values obtained from the Adit and Sopo Jarwo animation series. Moral values such as eating manners, patience and honesty manners, consistent manners when working, responsible manners, helping etiquette, and forgiveness. In addition, there are traditional Indonesian games in the animation, with the goal of not being forgotten by traditional Indonesian games. As a result, the animated series Adit and Sopo Jarwo is highly recommended for children to watch because it can help them develop positive moral and religious values.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyses Phyllis Whitney’s novel “Hunter’s Green”. The problem of this study is to what extend the novel reveal the pursuit of Self-Esteem and how the elements of novel; character and setting support the pursuit of self -esteem. The result of the study shows that there are three features of pursuit of self-esteem conducted by the character Nigel Barrow. They are building awareness, getting support, and gaining position. Building awareness is revealed through the condition of Nigel, as low class person, lives in high-class family, Athmore, which is full of superiority. He realizes his positive value; superior in brain and has the same chance to enter the school just like the high class does. Gaining support is revealed through the condition in which Nigel lives among people who judge him low. He proves himself to get support from his society. Gaining position is by having position as educated and privileged person through attaining prestigious school. He attains the school by winning himself a difficult scholarship. It gives sense of satisfaction and pride on himself since his condition born as low class. Nigel also gets position as wealthy person through doing precious business in the field of building and real estate in Bahamas. This is part of Nigel’s pursuit of self-esteem since Nigel gets it in competitive condition. This condition enriches his view on himself as worthy person who has potentials and capabilities. Hopefully, there must be something to learn in the literary work in spite of its mere function as entertainment. Kata Kunci: pursuit, self-esteem Abstrak Studi ini adalah analisa novel Phyllis Whitney Hunter’s Green. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam analisa ini adalah sejauh mana novel ini memperlihatkan pengejaran harga diri (The Pursuit of Self-Esteem) dan bagaimana elemen-elemen novel yang difokuskan kepada character (tokoh) dan setting (latar) mendukung pengejaran harga diri tersebut. Tujuan dari analisa ini adalah untuk mendapatkan jawaban sejauh mana novel Hunter’s Green memperlihatkan pengejaran self-esteem dan bagaimana elemen setting dan character mendukung pengejaran self-esteem dalam novel ini. Dari penganalisaaan didapatkan bahwa tokoh Nigel Barrow, yang berasal dari status rendah melakukan berbagai usaha untuk mengejar harga dirinya. Usahanya itu adalah dengan membangun kesadaran akan potensi dirinya dan keberhargaan dirinya (building awareness) dengan meraih dukungan dari lingkungan (gaining support) dan dengan meraih posisi ditengah-tengah masyarakatnya (gaining position). Usaha-usaha yang dilakukan Nigel ini adalah bahagian dari pengejaran harga diri karena dia merasa puas dan bangga akan kemampuannya dalam kondisi kompetitif. Keyword: pursuit and self-esteem

Abstract

This study examines the usage of the Kinemaster applications for creating English learning videos in elementary schools. The study used a descriptive-quantitative research design. The data was collected via a questionnaire. The findings revealed that: 1) 70% of respondents said they didn't know how to create a decent learning video. 2) Almost all respondents, approximately 76%, claimed that they were extremely familiar with the KineMaster application but did not understand how to utilize it. 3) 70% of respondents indicated they didn't know how to use the KineMaster software to create learning films. 4) Of the several challenges associated with creating learning films, 60% of respondents reported that developing learning content for the videos was extremely tough. 5) 85% of respondents felt that utilizing the Kinemaster tool made creating learning films easier. Abstract

The goal of the research is to explore how strategic planning can be used to improve the quality of education acquired by graduates of MTs. Hasanah Pekanbaru. This type of study consists of descriptive qualitative research with a social focus. Observations, interviews, and documentation were employed throughout the data gathering process. Following that, the researchers used a variety of data processing and analysis methodologies, culminating in the data validity test. The findings of this study show that MTs. Hasanah Pekanbaru has a structured strategic plan that includes a medium-term plan, an advanced medium-term plan, and a long-term plan. Efforts are being made to improve the quality of graduates at MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru by recruiting students as inputs from graduates of SD, SD IT/MI State/Private through academic potential test scores, religious skills test scores, and UN scores, developing a learning process that is directed at mastering knowledge and skills (life skills), integrating religious values in each subject, and implementing a programme to improve the quality of educators by inviting teachers The numerous accomplishments of MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru students in a range of fields, both academic and non-academic, demonstrate the institution's high standard of educational excellence.
