Abstract

This paper is aimed at describing self concept in English learning.  This will explore the concept of self concept and its importance for students in learning English. Self concept is one of way for students to  creatively in learning English. As a foreign language, English is not easy to learning by the students at the beginning of the study. For them, English is likely to be one difficulty in learning. The basic skills in English is the ability that requires the process of communicative competence, pronunciation, intonation, grammar and vocabulary improving. For the beginner is difficult to try. Naturally, they feel confused on the rule, like: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency. Some of students are afraid to be active in English. This phenomenon makes many students have low scores in English. The lessons must be relaxed and comfortable. So, by their self concept, the students will feel confident, they will not need to try hard to learn language. It will just come naturally and easily.

Abstract

AbstrakUnit Reaktor pada pabrik pupuk urea adalah salah satu unit yang berfungsi untuk mereaksikan komponen-komponen pembentuk pupuk urea, sehingga unit ini adalah salah satu sistem yang sangat penting dimana sistem reaktor ini mempunyai perilaku proses yang nonlinier. Selama pengoperasian unit ini, ketinggian fluida cairan yang ada di dalam reaktor akan dijaga stabil agar reaksi yang ada dalam reaktor dapat bereaksi dengan sempurna sesuai dengan spesifikasi produk. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan sebuah model yang dapat menggambarkan perilaku dari reaktor tersebut agar dapat diketahui perilaku proses dari sistem tersebut. Pada penelitian ini akan dikembangkan sebuah model untuk unit reaktor pada pabrik Urea dengan menggunakan teknik Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS), dimana pemodelan ini akan menggunakan pendekatan grey-box yang menggunakan pengetahuan relasi antar variabel fisis pada unit reaktor tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pemodelan ANFIS mampu mengikuti keluaran sistem yang sebenarnya dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 0.47995.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the thoughts of Seyyed Hossein Nasr regarding the integration of Islam and science, and their relevance to Islamic Education, especially in Indonesia. The method used in this research is literature study where the writer tries to find, compile and analyze various information through various related sources. The results of this study explain that according to Seyyed Hosein Nasr Muslims do not have to lose their spiritual roots, in order to gain progress in science and technology. According to Nasr view, Islam and science cannot be separated, even Islam in itself wants the progress of science. This thought is not only in the epistemological concept, but also in the ontological realm, related to human existence itself, as well as the axiological realm that determines ethical aspects in human life. It was found that Seyyed Hossein Nasr's paradigm of the integration of Islam and science has an urgency and relevance especially for the implementation of Islamic Education in Indonesia. By offering a sufistic traditionalist approach, which is the root of the Islamic spirituality tradition, it is hoped that it will be able to provide a moral and ethical foundation in the process of Islamic education in Indonesia. Integration of Islam and Science which is not only in the object of knowledge, but unites in humans, as subjects of knowledge, human learners.
