Abstract

Intolerance is an attitude against differences between human beings. This intolerant attitude can hinder the welfare of the nation and state, which is marked by the emergence of various inter-religious and inter-cultural disputes that occur in society and in the educational environment. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the extent to which teachers' efforts to prevent intolerance through cultivating an understanding of religious moderation. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach with library research, namely quoting previous research from various sources, including journal articles, books, and pdfs which supported the writing of this article. The results of the analysis of Christian religious education teachers' efforts to prevent intolerance in adolescents through inculcating an understanding of religious moderation as a subject delivered by PAK teachers with the hope of being able to foster an attitude of respect for differences both in terms of religion, race, ethnicity, between groups, culture and economic level, love the nation with all their heart, do not bring each other down and live as a democratic society.

Abstract

Abstract: In the context of spiritual life, the role of the Holy Spirit is paramount for Christians as a comforter, helper, truth giver, shaper of human character, and bestower of grace. The modern era presents complex challenges and temptations. Spiritual phenomena, such as the increased interest in spirituality and revival of faith, mark the relevance of this research. This study aims to fill the knowledge gap by delineating the definition of the Holy Spirit, exploring His works within the inner being of Christians, identifying the characteristics of His recipients, and understanding His role in contemporary times. A literature review method with a qualitative approach was employed, involving analysis and synthesis of literature to construct a holistic conceptual framework. The findings of the research demonstrate the significant role of the Holy Spirit in guiding, shaping, and empowering Christians, providing assurance of eternal life, and remaining relevant in addressing present-day challenges. By focusing on the role of the Holy Spirit, this research contributes to a profound understanding of these aspects in the context of modern Christian life.  Abstrak: Dalam konteks kehidupan spiritual, peran Roh Kudus sangat penting bagi orang Kristen sebagai penghibur, penolong, pemberi kebenaran, pembentuk sifat manusia, dan pemberi karunia. Era modern menghadirkan tantangan dan godaan yang kompleks. Fenomena rohaniah, seperti peningkatan minat terhadap spiritualitas dan kebangkitan iman, menandai relevansi penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengisi kesenjangan pengetahuan, merinci definisi Roh Kudus, mengeksplorasi karya-Nya dalam batin orang Kristen, mengidentifikasi ciri-ciri penerima-Nya, dan memahami interaksi peran-Nya pada masa kini. Metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang digunakan melibatkan analisis dan sintesis literatur untuk menyusun kerangka konseptual holistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran Roh Kudus sangat signifikan dalam membimbing, membentuk, dan memberdayakan orang Kristen, memberikan jaminan hidup kekal, serta relevan dalam menghadapi tantangan masa kini. Dengan fokus pada peran Roh Kudus, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman mendalam tentang aspek-aspek tersebut dalam konteks kehidupan Kristen modern.

Abstract

This writing is motivated by the phenomenon of immaturity and the inability to use technology properly which has a negative impact on the moral quality of humans themselves such as moral degradation, namely a decline or decrease in one's level of behavior. The emergence of cases of rape, murder, assault, brawls, and other bad acts shows that the current generation is still weak in morals. Therefore, this study aims to find a solution in dealing with moral degradation by instilling character education and civic values from an early age together. By using the research method of library research (library search) which analyzes, examines and explores it so that the correct steps are obtained in instilling the values of character education and citizenship. The results of this study indicate that character and citizenship education is an important alternative to overcome moral degradation which is declining due to the influence of the digital era 4.0 which includes religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect, achievement, communicative, peace-loving, and responsible.
