Abstract

Karakter fenotip merupakan salah satu dasar untuk dilakukan pemijahan selektif. Karakter fenotif ikan nilem strain mangut yang dibudidayakan di beberapa daerah dapat menjadi informasi dasar pengembangan budidayanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan karakter fenotip kuantitatif dengan morfometrik meristik dan pola pertumbuhan ikan Nilem (Osteochilus hasseltii) strain Mangut yang dibudidayakan di wilayah Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Barat.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survey lapang dan laboratorium. Ikan sebanyak 30 ekor diambil secara acak dari Banyumas dan Purbalingga mewakili Jawa Tengah dan Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan menunjukkan bahwa koefisien keragaman morfometrik Ikan Nilem Mangut berkisar antara 4,93-17,99% (Banyumas), 10,35-21,41% (Purbalingga) dan 9,11-24,12% (Tasikmalaya) sedangkan koefisien keragaman meristik Ikan Nilem Mangut berkisar antara 6,89-13,02% (Banyumas), 6,05-9,32% (Purbalingga) dan 5,78-10,78% (Tasikmalaya). Karakter morfometrik dan meristik Ikan Nilem Mangut dari beberapa lokasi memiliki korelasi positif (memiliki hubungan yang searah antar karakter) dan negatif (memiliki hubungan yang berlawanan antar karakter). Berdasarkan hubungan panjang dan berat, ikan Nilem Mangut di Banyumas, Purbalingga dan Tasikmalaya memiliki nilai b berturut-turut yaitu 6,02, 5,42 dan 3,39 menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan allometrik positif. Faktor Kondisi pada ikan nilem mangut memiliki nilai kisaran 1,32-1,34. Tasikmalaya memiliki pola budidaya ikan yang paling baik.

Abstract

Mangrove forests have an important role in reducing the impact of global warming as a place to absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere which is mostly stored in sediment. Mangroves are a good habitat for aquatic biota such as macrozoobenthos. Macrozoobenthos are organisms that inhabit the bottom of sea waters and also exist in stable sediments. The aim of this research is to determine sediment texture, sediment organic carbon content, macrozoobenthos abundance and the relationship between sediment type and macrozoobenthos abundance. The method used in sampling was purposive sampling with a total of 3 stations. Sediment samples were taken using a core sampler at depths of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm, while macrozoobenthos samples were taken using the hand sorting method. Organic carbon content was analyzed using the Loss on Ignition (LOI) method. The research results showed that the macrozoobenthos community structure at all stations produced low diversity and dominance indices and high uniformity indices.   The type of sediment texture in the research area shows an average value of the sediment fraction of 4.43% sand, 71.11% dust and 24.45% clay. The highest organic carbon content was found at stations near brackish water areas with an average of 12.06%, while stations near factory areas had the lowest content at 5.89%. There is a strong relationship between the type of sediment texture and the abundance of macrozoobenthos in the Karangtalun mangrove area, North Cilacap.

Abstract

Pacific White Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is a frequently cultivated shrimp species. This is because it offers promising prospects and profits. Superior vannamei can be produced by considering several aspects of the cultivation process. Internal factors include the origin and quality of the seeds, as well as external factors, including cultivation water quality, feeding, technology, and pest and disease control. This research was conducted from September 15 to October 15, 2022, at CV. Cemarasewu Sumber Rejeki, Jetis Village, Cilacap, Central Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality conditions in Pacific White Shrimp rearing ponds at CV. Cemarasewu Sumber Rejeki, Cilacap. Three ponds were used for data collection: plots B13, B14, and B15, with shrimp rearing ages of 100-129 days. Research results indicated that plots B13, B14, and B15 at CV. Cemarasewu Sumber Rejeki provides good water quality for Pacific White Shrimp cultivation. The results of water quality parameters measured in this study include: brightness up to 35 cm, temperature ranging from 27-29 ºC, pH ranging from 7.6-8.3, salinity ranging from 14-22 ppt, alkalinity ranging from 125-169.6 ppm, TOM ranging from 70.4-79.2 ppm, DO ranging from 4.32-4.98 ppm, phosphate ranging from 0.25-0.5 ppm, nitrite ranging from 0.013-0.085 ppm, nitrate 0 ppm, ammonia ranging from 0.00-0.085 ppm, ammonium ranging from 0.00-0.50 ppm and plankton ranging from 2,500-282,500. It can be concluded that the water quality in pond plots B13, B14, and B15 at CV. Cemarasewu Sumber Rejeki meets the appropriate standards to support Pacific white shrimp cultivation.
