Abstract

The intersection of Kentungan is one of the intersections that connects North Ringroad Road and Kaliurang Street which looks increasingly stuck in Yogyakarta. This is due to an uneven increase in vehicle vehicles to road infrastructure. The peak of traffic jam at Intersection of Junction often occurs at 16.00-17.30 WIB. The problem at this junction is the amount of time delay and the length of the queue. One way to reduce congestion problems at the Intersection is to construct road infrastructure, one underpass. Based on these problems, research on the effect of underpass application on congestion parameters at several other intersections adjacent to the intersection of Kentungan. This research is a Multi Channel Multi Phase model configuration, by creating an underpass model of the Autodesk Infraworks 360 software. Before modeling underpass conditions, it is done in advance of the existing model of Intersection of Kentungan. The data inputted to this existing model is the total data of vehicles crossing the intersection of Kentungan for one hour. Verification model in this research is done by visual testing and check the duration of green light at the time of simulation done. Validation in this research is done by using hypothesis test, paired t-test. Then the parameters for validation are data ie the average waiting time of the vehicle, the maximum queue length and the number of vehicles passing through the green light in one cycle. In this study using two scenarios, in scenario 1 is the underpass model with the condition of the intersection and the scenario 2 is the underpass model with the roundabout condition. The results obtained from both scenarios are compared with the existing model results. The compared parameters are the average vehicle delay time and maximum queue length on each approach. It is expected from the comparison analysis to show that the Kentungan Intersection after the built underpass has decreased significantly on the average delay time and maximum queue length .

Abstract

Background: One of scheduling problems in educational sector currently was the course scheduling in college or well known as University Course Timetabling Problem (UCTP). The UCTP was comprehensive because of the policy difference among the university, faculties, and departments.  The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada, which organizes a block system has a different and more complex scheduling type than other faculties with non-block system. The porpose of this research was to build a mathematic model of block system UCTP in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada to optimize the scheduling process time and results.Method: This research was conducted by dividing the scheduling problem into 4 sub – scheduling problems that are sequential, which are the scheduling of the 5 primary courses (lecture, panel discussion, practical sessions, tutorial, and skills laboratory), scheduling topics for each course, student’ group scheduling, and classroom scheduling. The problems are then modeled in the form of integer goal programming. Results: The block system scheduling model in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Gadjah Mada by considering topic and possibility of unavailability room using Sequential Three-Stage Integer Goal Programming has successfully developed and well verified. Conclusion: The model developed in this study is able to produce a schedule that meets all hard constraint in less than 24 hours. The result was more efficient compared to the previous trial-and-error method that consumed 30-45 days.

Abstract

The implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in the product design phase plays a crucial role in modern industries. The product design phase with the design thinking approach produces an innovative product that meets user requirements. The product design process, which begins with capturing user requirements and culminating in a thorough specification of a finished product, requires extensive data and expertise. Iterative product design processes contribute to the complexity of the data that must be managed within an organization. This study involved the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software named Odoo within the product design process using a design thinking methodology. By examining the student practicum activities in automotive design, starting from the user survey phase and going all the way to the component design details, a comprehensive ERP system was developed. This system is capable of seamlessly integrating all the data throughout the entire process. Based on the outcomes of testing and assessment, it can be concluded that the modules in Odoo software can be effectively integrated into the product design process. Effective processes in integrating ERP into product design phases can improve production quality and efficiency as well as facilitate greater flexibility and innovation. Implementing ERP throughout the product design phase results in a seamless flow of information, enhanced inventory control, and overall productivity enhancement. This ultimately leads to operational efficiency, competitive advantage, and high user satisfaction in the industry.
