Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of elementary students’ mathematical problem-solving skills taught by Realistic Mathematic Education approach. The research method is a literature review. Data collection in this research is done by searching journal through Google Scholar. Keywords used for journal searching are: Classroom Action Research, Realistic Mathematic Education, problem solving, and Mathematic elementary. Subsequently, 15 Classroom Action Research articles were selected and further analyzed. Based on the analysis result, it can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematics Education approach can enhance elementary school students' problem-solving skills in mathematics. The improvement in problem-solving skills ranged from a minimum of 11.67% to a maximum of 70%.Keyword: Realistic Mathematic Education, Problem Solving, Elementary Mathematic, Literature Review Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SD yang diajarkan melalui Pendekatan Matematika Realistik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis literatur. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menelusuri jurnal melalui Google Cendekia. Kata kunci yang digunakan untuk penelusuran jurnal adalah: Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Pendekatan Matematika Realistik, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan matematika SD. Kemudian terpilihlah 15 artikel Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dianalisis lebih lanjut. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari 15 artikel, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendekatan Matematika Realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika SD. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah bervariasi dari yang terendah 11,67% sampai yang tertinggi 70%.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Matematika Realistik, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Matematika SD, Kajian Literatur

Abstract

This study compares teaching methods in Indonesian and Thai elementary schools using a descriptive comparative approach. The results show that there are significant differences in government support for education in the two countries. Thailand has significantly greater government support, which is reflected in the provision of well-equipped school facilities, including technology. These facilities allow teachers to use more interactive teaching methods. On the other hand, Indonesia has more limited government support. However, Indonesia has developed a strategy that emphasizes inclusivity and community empowerment. This strategy is reflected in the curriculum, teaching methods, and evaluation approaches. Despite these differences, both countries share a commitment to improving the quality of education. The study highlights the importance of understanding the social, cultural, and policy context when designing effective teaching methods. By adopting best practices from each other, governments and educators can enhance elementary-level learning.
