ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of work fatigue on Safety Behavior Intention (SBI) based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), with a focus on the mediating roles of Attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC). The study was conducted among workers at an animal feed company in Pasuruan City, involving 90 respondents. Work fatigue was modeled as a second-order construct consisting of physical fatigue and mental fatigue dimensions, measured using the Fatigue Assessment Scale. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with an embedded two-stage approach. The results indicate that work fatigue has a significant negative effect on Attitude, PBC, and SBI, and also indirectly affects SBI through Attitude and PBC. These findings highlight the important roles of attitude and perceived behavioral control in shaping workers’ intentions to perform safe behavior, particularly under fatigue conditions.
