Abstract

Studying hydrocarbon material requires ability in problem solving so students are able to identify, analyze, and describe abstract chemical concepts and principles into concrete. The purpose of this study was to the improving of students' hydrocarbon problem solving abilities through the SAVI learning model assisted by puzzle media. The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a research design namely One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.The study was conducted at SMAN 7 Mataram, Jl. Adi Sucipto, Ampenan Utara, Kec. Ampenan, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The subjects of this study were students of class XI Science. The research instrument include syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and multiple choice test items. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test to find out the increased ability to solve hydrocarbon problems. The results showed that the level of N-Gain was in the range of 0.33 with a moderate category which meant an increase in students' problem solving abilities after using the SAVI model assisted by puzzle media. Thus, it can be concluded that students' problem solving abilities can be improved through the application of SAVI learning models assisted by puzzle media.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to develop and test the feasibility of an animation media based on multiple representations in colloid using flipped classroom learning. The type of this research is research and development with 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) which carried out up to the development stage (develop). The feasibility test of an animation video consists of material and media validity test and product trials. Data of feasibility test were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the material and media validity tests were 82% and 83%, which indicates that the animation video was included in the very feasible criteria and the results of product trials were 85% which indicates that user responses were included in the very good criteria. The results of the feasibility test show that an animation media based on multiple representations was declared feasible for use in colloid flipped classroom learning.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang digunakan di dunia pendidikan harus beradaptasi dengan perkembangan komunikasi serba digital. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis mengartikulasikan alur cerita pada materi untuk siswa kelas XI SMA/MA. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu R&D dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu 20 siswa kelas XI IPA MA Bustanul Muta'allimin Blitar. Teknik pengambilan data dengan wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil uji validasi produk oleh validator ahli materi menunjukkan skor persentase rata-rata 92,5%, oleh validator ahli media sebesar 81,0%, dan oleh guru kimia sebesar 96,0%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan skor persentase rata-rata 80,0%.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and determine the feasibility of ethnoscience-based organic chemistry experiment e-module: a cane brown sugar production process in Tulungagung, Indonesia. This research used the research and development (R & D) method with steps according to Richey and Klein, namely Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE). Product feasibility tests consist of content validity tests, including materials and media, and limited trials. The average percentage score of the validity test results of materials, media, and limited trials are 86%, 86%, and 88% which shows that the ethnoscience-based organic chemistry experiment e-module: a cane brown sugar production process in Tulungagung, Indonesia is very good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of inquiry-based online learning using WhatsApp Group on understanding the concept of benzene and its derivatives by comparing the level of concept understanding in benzene and its derivatives produced by inquiry-based online learning and expository-based online learning through WhatsApp Group. This research used quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. Research sample were 4th semester students of Tadris Kimia IAIN Tulungagung in the 2020/2021 academic year. Research instrument was a test for understanding the concept of benzene and its derivatives which had been valid and reliable. Research data were pretest and posttest scores of understanding the concept of benzene and its derivatives were analyzed using t-test on the SPSS program. The results of the analysis show that there were significant differences in the level of concept understanding in benzene and its derivatives produced by inquiry-based online learning through WhatsApp Group and expository-based online learning through WhatsApp Group. The level of concept understanding in benzene and its derivatives produced by inquiry-based online learning through WhatsApp Group were higher than produced by expository-based online learning through WhatsApp Group.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students learning interest in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri, to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri, and to describe the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student interest and learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri. The sample for this research was 33 students of class XI MIPA 1 and 35 students of XI MIPA 2 at MAN 5 Kediri. This research data collection technique uses a questionnaire method to obtain learning interest data and a test method to obtain learning outcome data. The data analysis technique used is statistical parameter data analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test and MANOVA test. The results of this research show that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students learning interest in the buffer solution material for class XI at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the average posttest interest in learning class XI MIPA 1 is greater than that of class XI MIPA 2, namely 139,82 ≥ 129,23 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) experimental group, namely 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the average posttest learning outcomes for class XI MIPA 1 is higher than class XI MIPA 2, namely 81,21 ≥ 68,29 and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) experimental group that is 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on student interest and learning outcomes in class XI buffer solution material at MAN 5 Kediri as evidenced by the significance value of interest and learning outcomes being 0,000. The significance value show 0,000 ≤ 0,05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Students science literacy skills and learning outcomes tend to be low in chemical equilibrium material. One of the influence factors is the use of not exactly learning models. An alternative that can be done is using the guided inquiry learning model. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model to improve student science literacy skills and learning outcomes chemical equilibrium. The research design was used Quasi-Experimental tipe Nonequivalent Control Only Group Design. The experimental class use the guided inquiry learning model meanwhile the control class use the conventional learning model. Abstract

Berdasarkan Global Creativity Index (GCI) tahun 2023, kemampuan berpikir kreatif di indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Selain itu, prestasi belajar siswa secara umum masih rendah, terutama pada materi pelajaran hidrolisis garam, hanya 25% siswa yang berhasil mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum yang telah ditetapkan di sekolah. hal itu, karena mata pelajaran hidrolisis garam merupakan mata pelajaran yang bersifat abstrak serta minimnya variasi pembelajaran yang menekankan pada kreativitas siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model project based learning dengan pendekatan chemo-entrepreanurship terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis quasi eksperiment dengan rancangan posttest only control grup design. Instrument penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,802 dan lembar angket dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,775. Analisis data menggunakan uji T bebas dan uji Manova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model PjBL dengan pendekatan CEP terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05.
