Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the work environment and infrastructure on the work motivation of teachers, either partially or simultaneously. This research is a quantitative research with survey method and descriptive approach and has a sample of 55 respondents. Determination of the sample using probability sampling technique with simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing, documenting and distributing questionnaires to respondents. While the data processing technique is done by testing the validity, reliability test, data analysis prerequisite test which includes normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, and heteroscedasticity test, while the data analysis technique is done by correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing is done by t test (partial), f test (simultaneous), and the coefficient of determination test. The results showed that: 1) the results of the t-test (partial) of the work environment variable obtained the value of tcount (3.063) > ttable (1.675) and Sig 0.000 <0.05. This shows that the work environment has a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation; 2) the results of the t-test (partial) of the infrastructure variable obtained the value of tcount (3.550) > ttable (1.675) and Sig 0.000 <0.05. This shows that infrastructure has a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation; 3) the results of the F test (simultaneous) obtained the value of Fcount (102.659) > Ftable (3.18) and Sig 0.000 <0.05. This shows that the work environment and infrastructure together have a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation. Through the coefficient of determination test, the coefficient of determination is 0.798. This shows that the effect of the work environment and infrastructure together on the work motivation of teachers is 79.8% and the remaining 20.2% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. keyword: infrastructure, motivation, work environment

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis ada pengaruh dari manajemen kelas, ekspektasi guru, dan kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan Jumlah sampel yakni 83 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket dan teknik analisis data yakni validitas, reliabilitas, uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh manajemen kelas terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa dimana diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 4,661 dengan perolehan nilai Sig 0,000 0,05 dan Hasil analisis regresi sederhana, menunjukkan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 59.448+ 2.436X1, yang berarti bahwa manajemen kelas memberikan pengaruh terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 2,436. Terdapat pengaruh ekspektasi guru terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa dimana diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 2,336 dengan perolehan nilai Sig 0,000 0,05 dan Hasil analisis regresi sederhana, menunjukkan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 59.448+ 2.102 X2 yang berarti bahwa setiap peningkatan satu nilai motivasi akan diikuti peningkatan nilai kinerja guru sebesar 2,102. Terdapat pengaruh kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa dimana diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 4,262 dengan perolehan nilai Sig 0,000 0,05 dan Hasil analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan persamaan regresi Ŷ = 59.448+ 1.606 X3 yang berarti bahwa setiap peningkatan satu nilai kompetensi profesional akan diikuti peningkatan nilai kinerja guru sebesar 1.606. Terdapat pengaruh manajemen kelas (X1), ekspektasi guru (X2) dan kompetensi profesional (X3) secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa dimana diperoleh nilai F hitung sebesar 8,242 dan signifikansi (Sig.) 0,000 Adapun besarnya pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh koefisien determinasi R2 (R square) = 0.882 yang berarti bahwa manajemen kelas (X1), ekpektasi guru (X2) dan kinerja guru (X3) secara bersama-sama memberikan pengaruh terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa sebesar 88.2 % dan sisanya yaitu 11, 59.448+ 2.436X1+ 2.102X2+1.606X3 + e.
