Abstract

ABSTRACT STSI Bandung is one of the higher education institutions participating in the government’s pro- gram of international cultural promotion “Darmasiswa”. “Darmasiswa” is a program of cultural di- plomacy aims at improving cooperation with countries which have diplomatic relationships with Indo- nesia and promoting good image of Indonesia among people of other countries. This paper is a study of transfer process of art learning in the cultural diversity of the “Darmasiswa” participants. This study used a qualitative approach with the case study method. The complexities of multicultural interac- tion are found in the process. Those complexities include trans-cultural communication, international communication and cross-cultural communication. Multicultural arts learning process is delivered in a variety of learning methods. Attractiveness and uniqueness of the art teaching materials  is a force that can help to bridge any cultural differences among the participants of the international student program. Keywords: darmasiswa, intercultural communication, promotion, culture    ABSTRAK STSI Bandung merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berpartisipasi dalam program promosi budaya internasional pemerintah “Darmasiswa”. “Darmasiswa” adalah pro- gram di bawah  diplomasi kebudayaan yang tujuannya untuk lebih meningkatkan hubungan kerja antar negara, sekaligus guna menanamkan image yang baik tentang Indonesia di mata dunia. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian terhadap   proses penyelenggaraan program “Darmasiswa” dalam mentransfer pembelajaran seni Indonesia yang pesertanya memiliki ke- beragaman latar belakang budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Di dalam prosesnya ditemukan hal menarik yaitu kompleksitas interaksi multikultural  di antaranya; komunikasi interkultural, komunikasi internasional, dan komu- nikasi lintas budaya. Proses pembelajaran seni bernuansa multikultural ini telah memadukan berbagai metode pembelajaran. Daya tarik dan keunikan materi ajar kesenian,  diharapkan mampu membantu  menjembatani segala perbedaan budaya di antara mahasiswa internasi- onal. Kata kunci: Darmasiswa, komunikasi interkultural, promosi, budaya

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study describes how the ngabubur ritual is represented into a documentary film. The factual data of Ngabubur ritual is collected through ethnographic methods. In terms of methods, the film was made through some stages: designing, researching, shooting, editing and finishing. Ngabubur is an annual ritual of Rancakalong society as a form of Sukur Bumi, an act of gratitude from agricultural products that have been enjoyed by the community. The Film narrative is based on the actual event structures. The meaning given to the film is greatly influenced by the propriety and authenticity of its images. Keywords: documenter film, ngabubur, etnografi, and narrative  ABSTRAK Ritual ngabubur direpresentasi ke dalam bentuk film dokumenter. Data faktual ritual ngabubur dikumpulkan melalui metode etnografi. Secara metodis film dibuat melalui tahap perumusan design, research, shooting, editing, dan finishing. Ngabubur merupakan ritual tahun- an masyarakat Rancakalong sebagai bentuk sukur bumi, wujud syukur dari hasil bumi yang telah dinikmati oleh masyarakat. Naratif film dibuat berdasarkan struktur peristiwanya. Pemaknaan filmnya sangat dipengaruhi oleh kebenaran citra dan keotentikan dalam pe- nyajiannya. Kata kunci: film dokumenter, ngabubur, etnografi, dan naratif

Abstract

Teh Botol Sosro, the first ready-to-drink tea beverage in Indonesia, introduced a new packaging theme of Independence and the Cultural Diversity of Indonesia to celebrate Indonesias 75th Independence Day. The research aims to analyze the significant role of the concepts and themes of independence and Indonesias cultural diversity in building a solid emotional connection with consumers. The research methodology used qualitative analysis focusing on visual communication, gathering data through visual analysis and expert interviews. The research findings reveal that utilizing these elements, analyzed through Marc Gobes emotional branding concept, successfully establishes a solid emotional connection with consumers. This is reflected in a deeper understanding of national values and cultural diversity, as well as the introduction of a profound emotional dimension in the consumer experience. In conclusion, this research highlights the vital role of these concepts and themes in creating a significant emotional bond with consumers and enhancing the products appeal.
