Islamic Economics is an economic system based on sharia principles, which are sourced from the Qur'an and hadith. The main objective of Islamic economics is to create prosperity, justice, and socio-economic balance. This study aims to examine the basic principles of Islamic economics and the relevance of economic verses in the Qur'an in forming an economic system that is just and in accordance with Islamic teachings. This study uses a type of library research with data collection techniques using documentation. Abstract

Usury is strictly prohibited in Islam. The prohibition of usury in Islam aims to create a fair and just economic system. As the main normative principle in Islamic law, maqashid sharia emphasizes the protection of five basic aspects, namely religion (hifz al-diin), soul (hifz al-nafs), reason (hifz al-aql), descendants (hifz al-nasl), and property (hifz al-maal). This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. The data collection technique in this study, the author uses documentation. The results of the analysis of the five aspects of maqasid al-shari'ah in the prohibition of usury confirm that the prohibition is not only normative, but also has deep moral, social, and economic dimensions. The prohibition of usury in Islam not only protects individuals from financial exploitation, but also ensures that the economic system runs in accordance with the principles of justice, balance, and common welfare which are the core of maqasid al-shari'ah.

Abstract

The concept of Islamic Green Economy integrates Islamic dluprinciples into a sustainable development framework, emphasizing the responsibility of humans as God's vicegerents on earth to maintain ecological balance and environmental sustainability. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with a literature study method, where data are obtained from verses of the Qur'an, classical and contemporary interpretations, and scientific articles relevant to the issue of sustainability in Islam. The results of the study indicate that environmental ethics in the Qur'an such as the prohibition of destruction (fasad) in QS. Al-A'raf [7]: 56, the principle of balance (mizan) in QS. Ar-Rahman [55]: 7–8, and the trust towards nature in QS. Al-Ahzab [33]: 72 serve as the theological foundation for sustainable development in Islam. This study makes an academic contribution by showing how Islamic ecological values can be integrated into a green economy framework, while providing a moral and ethical basis for sustainable development policies in Muslim countries.
