Abstract

This research has a purpose to analyze the performance of sharia and conventional mutual funds, particularly equity mutual funds in Indonesia during 2008 and 2013 crisis periods. Within 2008 crisis period, the data set comprises of 51 equity mutual funds in which 4 were sharia mutual funds while 47 others were conventional mutual funds. Moreover, within 2013 crisis period, the data set comprises of 110 equity mutual funds in which 12 were sharia mutual funds while 98 others were conventional mutual funds. To measure the mutual funds' performance, three methods were used, which are Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen alpha methods. Furthermore, to test whether there is any performance difference between those two types of mutual funds, the author used Mann-Whitney U test. The results indicated that in the 2008 crisis period, the entire samples cannot really withstand from the crisis. In comparison, generally the conventional equity mutual funds managed to give a better performance than the sharia equity mutual funds. Moreover, there is no performance difference between sharia and conventional equity mutual funds. Meanwhile, in the 2013 crisis period showed a more diverse result. In comparison, generally the sharia equity mutual funds managed to develop its performance during this particular crisis period compare to the previous period. Apparently, there was a performance difference between those two types of mutual funds in the 2013 crisis.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan transformasional menjadi topik yang menarik dalam pengelolaan organisasi baik public maupun privat. Kepemimpinan trasnformasional terdiri dari 4(empat) aspek, yaitu Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intelectual Stimulation, dan Individualized Consideration. Di dalam segala bentuk organisasi, menuntut peran seorang pemimpin transformasional dalam menentukan arah dan tujuan organisasi tersebut, tak terkecuali Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes). BUMDes merupakan entitas organisasi yang muncul setelah terbit UU no 6/2014 tentang Desa. BUMDes merupakan Badan Usaha yang seluruh atau sebagian besar modalnya dimiliki Desa dan bertujuan untuk sebesar-besarnya kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Salah satu BUMDes yang ada di Indonesia adalah BUMDes Panggung Lestari, Desa Panggungharjo, Kecamatan Sewon, Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional dari Kepala Desa Panggungharjo dalam pengelolaan BUMDes Panggung Lestari. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dari Kepala Desa Panggungharjo telah mampu menunjukkan pola Kepemimpinan transformasional di dalam pengelolaan BUMDes tersebut. Namun perlu juga digarisbawahi, bahwa secara formal dan legal, kepemimpinan transformasional telah dipersyaratkan bagi para calon Kepala Desa sebelum mereka menduduki jabatannya.

Abstract

The aim of this community service (PKM) initiative is to facilitate the improvement of financial literacy among debtors of BUMDesma LKD across Serang Regency. The execution of this PKM activity was conducted in three phases: Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation to attain best outcomes. During the planning phase, the team formulated the PKM activity idea, which consists of three primary steps: assessing the financial management attributes of the borrowers, delivering financial management training to the debtors, and offering post-training mentorship. In the implementation phase, debtor characteristics were discerned through observations and interviews of 22 debtors from 18 BUMDesma LKD throughout 17 sub-districts in Serang Regency. The second stage entailed administering financial management instruction for the debtors utilizing a practical financial management methodology known as "GoDisKo." The concluding phase of the implementation emphasized post-training mentorship. The evaluation, as the last activity, demonstrated that the beginning phase substantially facilitated the following training phase, allowing for successful and efficient training execution. Nevertheless, the mentoring phase was suboptimal owing to the inherent preferences of the debtors, who exhibited a diminished propensity to engage with online media for mentoring purposes.
