Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of the Availability of Work Facilities in the Central Aceh District Library Using the Ergonomic Study Approach". The formulation of the problem in this research is how the availability of work facilities in the Central Aceh District Library using an ergonomic study approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the ergonomics standards in work facilities available in Central Aceh District Library. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection through observation and interviews. The subjects in this study were librarians who worked in the library as many as 14 people. While the objects in this study are work facilities that include work chairs, work desks, collection racks and cabinets. The results showed that work facilities that had met ergonomic standards were tables and chairs. Meanwhile, collection racks, work cabinets and reference cabinets are not included in the ergonomics category and there are complaints of fatigue on the shoulders, waist and neck.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pengaruh Transformasi Digital terhadap Library Anxiety di UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah apakah transformasi digital berpengaruh terhadap library anxiety di UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh transformasi digital terhadap library anxiety di UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Ar-Ranir Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di UPT. Perpustakaan UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh dengan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel sebanyak 100 orang pemustaka. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan rumus regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai signifikan pada regresi adalah 0.971 > 0.05 atau 5% taraf kesalahan yang telah ditentukan yang berarti bahwa tidak ada pengaruh atau keterkaitan yang signifikan antara transformasi digital dengan library anxiety.

Abstract

Collection evaluation completes the cycle of a collection development process in a library. This activity generates data including how useful it is to provide collections for certain groups such as children. There is no debate that many benefits of reading books for children include developing language skills and creative thinking. Therefore, the availability of access to collections and suitability for children's needs are important to consider in collection management. This paper evaluates the use of the children's collection held at the Pidie District Public Library. The aim is to assess the use of children’s collections by elementary school students who visited the public library in Pidie district. Fiction collection circulations were analysed based on its genre. The method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data obtained through circulation statistic, interview and observation.The result of research based on usage statistics from November 2021 to Oktober 2022 showed that total usage of children collections were 672 books per year and fiction usage collection for 456 times. The most frequent- used of fiction collection was fairytale, followed by the storybooks, short stories, poetry, novels and folklore. Students can borrow only 2 to 3 title of the books within a week. Students really appreciate the availability of children's collections in public libraries due to the limitation of their school libraries’ collections. Nevertheless, students suggest that public library should develop the variety of fiction collections. Holdings of fiction collections only 193 titles or 470 copies from total holdings 247 titles or 730 copies of children collections. Therefore, this result can assist the Pidie Regent Public Library to manage children collection development decisions in future

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tulisan ini membahas mengenai Kebijakan Pengembangan Koleksi Berdasarkan Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan (PERKA) N0.08 Tahun 2017. Kajian dalam tulisan ini mengenai bagaimana proses pengembangan koleksi pada perpustakaan umum berlandaskan Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan (PERKA) No. 08Tahun 2017. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode library research. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari sumber yang ditulis oleh penulis lain, bukan oleh peneliti sendiri. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan proses membaca dan mencatat, di mana pengumpulan data dianggap selesai setelah informasi dari dokumen yang dikumpulkan telah dianalisis dan dicatat. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah menggunakan model Milles Huberman, yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa proses pengembangan koleksi di perpustakaan umum dilakukan beberapa tahap, yaitu kebijakan koleksi, proses seleksi koleksi, pengadaan, dan penyiangan serta pentingnya Standar Nasional, Fokus pada Kebutuhan Lokal, Strategi Pengelolaan Koleksi, Evaluasi dan Perbaikan Berkelanjutan, kemudian juga, Kolaborasi dan Sinergi. Kata Kunci: Kebijakan, Pengembangan Koleksi, Standar Nasional ABSTRACT This paper discusses the Collection Development Policy based on the Head of Library Regulation (PERKA) No. 08 of 2017. The study in this paper examines the collection development process in public libraries based on the Head of Library Regulation (PERKA) No. 08 of 2017. This paper uses the library research method. The data obtained comes from sources written by other authors, not by the researcher themselves. The data collection technique involves reading and noting, where data collection is considered complete after the information from the collected documents has been analyzed and recorded. The analysis method used to solve the problems employs the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results conclude that the collection development process in public libraries is conducted in several stages, namely collection policy, collection selection process, procurement, and weeding, as well as the importance of National Standards, Focus on Local Needs, Collection Management Strategies, Continuous Evaluation and Improvement, and also Collaboration and Synergy.
