Abstract

One of the criteria for a good accreditation grade must be to meet the student's timely graduation rate. The punctuality of students is still a crucial problem in several universities in Indonesia. Many factors cause students to fail to complete their studies on time. Student data owned by the university can be processed using data mining techniques to become useful information for this graduation problem. Based on these problems, research was conducted for student graduation using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) based on Particle Swarm Optimization (SVM+PSO). The test results obtained in this study are the linear SVM Kernel Model Accuracy of 95.91%, the RBF Kernel SVM Model Accuracy of 95.91% and the Polynomial SVM Kernel Model Accuracy of 96.20%. Meanwhile, the SVM+PSO Merger Model increased the Linear Kernel's accuracy to 96.12% (+ 0.21) and the RBF Kernel to 96.24% (+ 0.33) but experienced a decrease in the accuracy of the Polynomial Kernel to 96.12%. (- 0.08).

Abstract

Penerimaan mahasiswa baru di universitas wiraraja Madura telah menghasilkan sejumlah besar data dalam bentuk profil siswa yang terdaftar selama proses penerimaan mahasiswa baru. data yang diperoleh akan diolah menjadi informasi yang berharga untuk pengembangan rencana pemasaran berdasarkan pengelompokan sekolah mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis data dalam klasterifikasi promosi mahasiswa baru menggunakan data mining. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan dataset yang berasal dari data penerimaan mahasiswa baru, pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan algoritma K-Means Clustering. Jumlah Cluster ditentukan mengacu pada Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) dari beberapa percobaan. Didapatkan nilai terkecil dari DBI yaitu 0.878 pada nilai k=2 maka Cluster optimal yang digunakan berjumlah 2. Cluster_0/cluster pertama berjumlah 1460 yang merupakan Cluster Tinggi dan cluster_1/cluster kedua berjumlah 551 yang merupakan Cluster rendah. Perbandingan persentase kedua cluster adalah 73% : 23%. Promosi yang bisa dilakukan dengan memfokuskan dan meningkatkan promosi di kabupaten sumenep dengan memprioritaskan beberapa kecamatan yaitu Kota Sumenep, Kec Kepulauan, Kalianget dan Saronggi.

Abstract

Kitchen equipment businesses have done for a long time in Indonesia, both it managed by offline and online. However, recently there are some businesses that used online transactions. Internet facilities provide the business opportunities develop more quickly, there are many who begin with a simple concept and there is a few who are close to being professional. Sometimes, the using of e-commerce is less than optimal because of poor management, such as poor web appearance, less attractive writing, do not including current promotional language, the pricing strategies and product descriptions that are less in detailed. In general, this is a lack of online marketing activities on existing e-commerce media. This situation provides an idea for the researchers to conduct a research to analyze the people's buying interest in e-commerce that sell kitchen equipment products in Sumenep and their strategies.This research was conducted by distributing some questionnaires at several locations in Sumenep with the priority targets are house wives which the results will be explained descriptively. This strategy analysis using SWOT analysis tool.
