Abstract

Hepatic is the largest gland in the body. Hepatic function in the metabolism and detoxification of a wide variety of compounds into the body. Infusion extract of bitter melon (M. charantia L.) fruit is a herbal preparation containing chemical compounds such as flavonoids, glycosides, triterpenoids, polyphenols, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. Excessive drug dosing in a long period of time, can make liver damage acute, subacute or chronic. Toxic effects of drugs often seen in the tissues, especially the liver and kidneys are on histology, appearing as inflammatory cell infiltration, hidropic degeneration, fatty degeneration and necrosis. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of variations in dose infusion extract of bitter melon fruit (M. charantia L.) locally NTT against white picture rat liver histopathology (R. norvegicus) male and determine the effective dose infusion extract of bitter melon fruit (M. charantia L.) NTT local who gave a response, or effects on fertility drugs white rat (R. norvegicus) male. The method used in this study is completely randomized design method namely by dividing the mice randomized into two treatment groups with different doses variations. Analysis of the data used is descriptive. The results obtained showed that the average infiltration in P1 was 5.8 ± 6.7, while the P2 is 3.7 ± 5.5. Hydropic degeneration in P1 was 17.3 ± 10.7 and in P2 was 63.5 ±32.7. fatty degeneration in P1 was 2.3 ± 4.4 and 10.2 ± At P2 is 9.5. Necrosis of P1 was 0.5 ± 0.8, while the P2 is 4.2 ± 2.9.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the morphometrics of the 3 age groups on the consumption of feed with the same nutrition as well as on growth. The material used is 50 male fighting cocks which have been separated based on 3 age categories, namely 6-8 months, 9-12 months, 13-30 months. The research method used in this research is descriptive analysis (mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variance and correlation test) and followed by t-test. Data were collected by direct observation and measurement of quantitative properties based on the observed parameters. The results of this study show a description of the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of male fighting cocks based on 3 age categories very diverse and have different characteristics ranging from eye color, feather color and shank color, then from the results of quantitative analysis of maxilla length, wing length, chest length , chest width, femur length, tibia length, shank length, third toe length and shank circumference, had different averages and correlated from high to medium. From the results of the t-test on feed and morphometrics, there were several significant differences that occurred between maxilla length, wing length, chest length, chest width, femur length, and shank circumference (P<0.05) while in tibia length, shank length, and the length of the third toe did not show a significant difference (P>0.05). Then the results of the t-test on the feed given to the body weight of fighting cocks there was a significant difference from the 1st week of feeding to the 6th week of feeding (P<0.05). Differences can occur due to several factors, namely the content of food substances in the feed, especially the energy and protein content, and can be influenced by environmental factors, genetics, maintenance management, drug administration, vitamins, herbal herbs and environmental temperature.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the survival of Landrace pig spermatozoa on natural diluents of coconut water supplemented with kepok banana juice (Musa paradisiaca L.). This research was conducted in February 2020-March 2020. Fresh cement collected from male Landrace pigs with ± 2 years of age was approved by an adult and in a healthy condition, then macroscopic, microscopic examination and cement dilution were conducted at the Veterinary Reproduction Laboratory of FKH Undana. This study uses 2 control groups (K0, K1) and 5 training groups (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5). The results of this study indicate that the first study using a low dose of 100 µL kepok banana juice (Musa paradisiaca L.) into cement dilution gave the best results in maintaining the viability of spermatozoa, seen from the high motility and viability values (65.00±3,54;71.50±2.26) with a shelf life of up to 28 hours.
