Abstract

Anemia is a nutritional problem that is widely found throughout the world and does not only occur in developing countries but also in developed countries. Adolescent girls have a ten times greater risk of suffering from anemia compared to young men. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the percentage of young women who consume blood-added tablets in Watugede Village. The method used is focus group discussions and lectures. The results showed that there was an increase in the percentage of consumption of FE tablets after being given education on the criteria for routine consumption from before education by 24.44% to 46.67%. This shows that education about anemia in adolescents can increase adolescent knowledge about anemia, and have a positive impact on changes in behavior in consuming blood-added tablets.

Abstract

The golden period, the window of opportunity, and the critical period are important to note so that individual growth and development, especially babies, can be optimal; Touch therapy can be an alternative; through a combination of stimulation techniques between the benefits of physical and emotional touch including baby massage. The method used is lecture, question and answer, and demonstration of Touch therapy through baby massage. The auxiliary media used are leaflets, and oil for touch therapy through baby massage and weighing. The implementation time in the Tulungagung Region, East Java Province is from 12 August to 30 September 2022 with the stages of planning, implementing, mentoring, and evaluating 12 mothers and their babies. The results of the activity evaluation revealed that all the mothers of the babies said that after getting Touch therapy through baby massage; the baby is eating more and sleeping soundly and gaining weight. Optimizing the baby's growth and development can be pursued in addition to touch therapy through baby massage; also by fulfilling all the needs of the baby, providing stimulation, and monitoring/early detection of growth and development according to the baby's age.

Abstract

The crucial stunting is anticipated especially in the first 1000 days of life; as it is known that toddlerhood is the golden period, window of opportunity, critical period which is very short and sensitive and cannot be repeated in the first five years of life, needs attention so that the growth and development of toddlers can take place optimally by preventing stunting. One of the health promotion efforts related to optimizing the growth and development of toddlers can be through health education on stunting prevention for toddler mothers at the Wine Posyandu, Krecek Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency, East Java Province; with face-to-face meetings, to provide health education to mothers of children under five, which includes among others: the notion of growth and development, periods of growth and development, factors of growth and development, stages of growth and development. The auxiliary media used in health education EMBAK POPON media. The time for carrying out health promotion activities/health education regarding preventive stunting in mothers under five at Posyandu Wine in Krecek Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency, East Java Province from May 10 to June 10 2023 with the stages of planning, implementing, mentoring and evaluating participants as many as 28 mothers under five. The results of the activity evaluation showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of the mothers before and after giving health education and that all the mothers were enthusiastic about participating in health education as indicated by the activeness of all the mothers in the question and answer session; so that it can be said that health promotion activities through health education about preventive stunting can effectively increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers at the Wine Posyandu, Tretek Village, Badas District, Kediri Regency, East Java Province.
