Abstract

Taro leaves (Colocasia Esculenta (L.) Schott.) contain alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids and polyphenols. Utilization of taro leaves requires new innovations by developing ways of making tablets, which increase the convenience of use through more comfortable use and more stable storage compared to liquid pharmaceutical preparations or suspensions. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the comparison of variations of Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) binder on the physical properties of granules and tablets and to obtain the optimum formula. Tablets were made by wet granulation process with 1%, 3% and 5% PVP. Granules were tested for water content, flow time test, angle of repose and tapping. The resulting tablets were then tested for their physical properties. Research result; Weight uniformity with 5% PVP fulfills the physical requirement of 600 g. Size uniformity fulfills the physical requirements with a yield of 2.91 mm. Hardness with 3% PVP meets the physical requirements of 5.95 kg. Fragility meets the physical requirements of 1% PVP, namely 0.4%. The disintegration time with 1% PVP met the physical requirements, namely 7.88 minutes. The results stated  that variations in the concentration of the PVP binder could be formulated into tablets and the tablet binder resistance was measured which met the requirements of the best tablet physical properties. Optimal formulation is achieved in formula III with binder containing 5% PVP.

Abstract

Background: In volleyball, passing, jumping, smash and block movements are very much needed strength and very high speed. To increase strength and speed is to practice plyometric training, namely countermovement jumps and lateral cone hops with sprints. It aims to be able to perform techniques with high jumps, and speed when taking the ball. Method: This type of research is a pre-experimental research. This research is a research method used to describe changes in the strength and speed of volleyball players after providing plyometric training. The design used in this study is one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study was taken with a purposive sampling technique and then a total sample of 20 people was obtained and each treatment was given plyometric training. Results: The results showed that the provision of plyometric training could result in an increase in volleyball player strength with an average statistical result of pre test 231.00 to 300.00 in the post test and an increase in speed with an average pre-test statistic 4.6730 to 3, 9340 in the post test. T Test results show that giving plyometric training can result in increased strength and speed. Conclucion: So the conclusion is that plyometric training has a significant influence on the level of strength and speed of volleyball players in senior high school of sport Makassar. Based on the results of significant calculations P = 0,000 or <0.05. Suggestions for athletes and trainers is to use plyometric training that has been programmed to increase strength and speed, in order to improve athlete performance and support game success. Abstract

Usia dini merupakan masa emas pertumbuhan anak, ditandai perkembangan pesat pada aspek fisik, kognitif, sosial, dan emosional. Kondisi tumbuh kembang pada fase ini sangat memengaruhi kesehatan di masa mendatang. Jika tidak dideteksi sejak dini, gangguan tersebut dapat menetap hingga dewasa dan meningkatkan risiko masalah muskuloskeletal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan deteksi dini dan koreksi postur di SD Muhammadiyah Ambokembang didasarkan pada pentingnya menjaga pertumbuhan dan perkembangan muskuloskeletal anak usia sekolah. Kebiasaan duduk yang salah, penggunaan tas yang tidak ergonomis, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, serta posisi belajar yang tidak tepat dapat memicu gangguan postur sejak dini seperti skoliosis ringan, kifosis, dan lordosis. Deteksi dini anak usia 6 sampai 8 tahun dan koreksi postur menjadi langkah penting untuk mencegah progresivitas gangguan. Penanganan dapat dilakukan melalui pendekatan promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Fisioterapis memiliki peran penting melalui kolaborasi dengan guru dalam pelaksanaan program latihan berbasis Fisioterapi pediatri. Program ini dilakukan secara terstruktur dan berkesinambungan untuk membantu memperbaiki postur serta meningkatkan fungsi gerak anak. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan 57,5% atau 35 anak mengalami gangguan muskuloskeletal dan 42,5% atau 25 anak yang normal. Secara umum, kegiatan ini tidak hanya menghasilkan data skrining, tetapi juga memberikan dampak edukatif dan perilaku, yaitu meningkatnya kesadaran serta kemampuan siswa dalam menjaga postur tubuh yang benar sebagai upaya pencegahan gangguan muskuloskeletal sejak dini serta guru juga mengamati adanya perubahan perilaku postur yang lebih baik selama proses pembelajaran di kelas
