Abstract

This type of research is Quantitative Research. This research aims to find out: (1) Letter Card Media applied by researchers to students; (2) Students' initial reading ability in all subjects. This research was carried out from 5 August to 14 September 2024, at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency. The method used in the research was the letter card method, namely looking at the form of relationship between the variables studied. The variables studied were letter card media and the beginning reading ability of second grade elementary school students. The research subjects were class II students at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency. The instrument used to obtain data was a questionnaire. Data processing from the questionnaire was carried out by analyzing product moment correlations according to the variables studied in the research, namely, parenting pattern variables (X) and students' initial reading ability (Y). The results of research using product moment correlation show that the calculated "r" value is -0.029, while the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. So it can be concluded that there is an influence on the use of letter card media and the initial reading ability of class II students at SD Negeri 7 Aitinyo, Maybrat Regency.

Abstract

This This research is motivated by the phenomenon of interest in reading in class 4 A students. This research aims to describe the conditions and what factors inhibit and support students' interest in reading in class 4 A at SD YPK Klasaman 2, Sorong City. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a research design, namely a case study. The subjects in this research were the class teacher and 22 students in class 4 A of YPK Klasaman Elementary School, Sorong City. Data collection techniques in this research used interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the condition of students' interest in reading is good. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the students in carrying out reading activities for 15 minutes before the lesson takes place or ends later during free time. The students fill the free time by reading textbooks and non-lessons in their respective seats, both in the library and in the classroom. Then, researchers found that there were several inhibiting factors, namely: There were still two students who could not read, there were no reading corners in each class except in the library, there was a lack of role and support from some parents. Supporting factors are the role and support of the teacher and most of the parents, then the teacher carries out reading activities for 15 minutes using textbooks or non-textbooks available in the library or student handbooks and there is great enthusiasm from the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk persamaan dan perbedaan bentuk serta makna kata verbal dari bahasa Ayamaru dan bahasa Aifat. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu Pendekatan penelitian ini dirancang berdasarkan prinsip Linguistik Komparatif khususnya dalam upaya klasifikasi genetic atau pengelompokan bahasa-bahasa berkerabat. Penelitian kualitatif bersifat eksploratif karena peneliti membangun pemahaman dari pikiran-pikiran yang ada. Berdasarkan penelitian dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan: (1) dalam bahasa ayamaru kata kerja orang pertama diguanakan jo/ji yang artinya “ku atau saya yang melakukan pekerjaan(pelaku)” (jo untuk “saya laki-laki” dan ji untuk “saya perempuan”). Sedangkan pada bahasa Aifat kata kerja orang pertama saya laki-laki digunakan kata yang samayaitu “tit” dan saya perempuan digunakan “ti”. (2) Kata kerja orang kedua atau diri kedua ialah kata kerja yang berimbuhan Kau-. Dalam bahasa Ayamaru digunakan “nyi/nyo” (nyi yang berarti kau laki-laki yang melakukan pekerjaan atau sebagai pelaku dan nyo untuk kau perempau yang melakukan pekerjaan atau sebagai pelaku). Sedangkan dalam bahasa Aifat Kau- untuk laki-laki adalah nin, dan Kau- untuk perempuan nin. (3) Kata kerja diri ketiga ialah kata kerja yang berimbuhan di-. Pada bahasa ayamaru kata kerja orang pertama diguanakan Ait/Au yang artinya “di-” yang menyatakan dia atau orang ketiga. Ait untuk “dia laki-laki” dan Au untuk “ dia perempuan. Sedangkan pada bahasa Aifat kata kerja orang ketiga dia laki-laki digunakan kata yang sama yaitu “Ait” dan dia perempuan digunakan “Ao”.
