Abstract

AbstractThis article is focused on how the incident of G30S/PKI has left atrauma to the state and how the state deals with it in the era afterwards. It show that such incident is constructed by the state that PKI is the enemy of the state and threathens the sovereignity of the state ideology, and this is embedded to shape a collective memory. This has been used to construct and to normalize the anti-communist movement in Indonesia through various strategies by, for example, the establishment of Monumen Pancasila Sakti, the suppression of communist movement, the military recruitment, and a variety of doctrines in the military education. These aim to construct a united understanding about the incident of G30S/PKI and to normalize the anti-communist discourse in Indonesia. Keywords: Collective memory, PKI, G30S/PKI, TNI, state, construction, anti-communist,normalization

Abstract

This article intends to identify and to describe the unique structure and the managing style that owns primordial characteristics, that is giving significance to kinship, religion, and local Bugis cultural values, which made up the cultural system of PT. Hadji Kalla family business. Theoritically, this research was inspired from Weberian perspective on the ideal types of bureaucracy, that observes organizations (in this case is the family business) as one of the socio-cultural phenomena which is neutral and value-free, that is place aside its subjective aspects. The research was conducted in two locations, the head office and one of the branch offices using qualitative approach that relies on participant observation, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results of the research shows that the family business of PT. Hadji Kalla that has advanced into national level still prioritizes kinship, ethnicity, and religious aspects in the daily activities of the company. The value even take parts in providing the company’s colour to the urban societies in various districts where the company stands. This means that although the society has undergone transformations, it doesn’t mean that the primordial value, and the elements that exist outside of businesses (such as kinship, big men, religion, cultural values, and interest) do not influence the activities that are held in formal organizations. Therefore, the interventions of subjective aspects will always appear, followed with the application of the modern management system that is implemented by PT. Hadji Kalla company.

Abstract

This article aims to explain whether the social movements carried out on the internet are limitedto click activism or merely mere symbolic resistance, or even beyond that? The case of the social movement raised in this study is the Akademi Berbagi Movement based on the internet, especially social media. the movement that combines online and offline gives its own nuances in doing social movements. This study used a qualitative approach with the method of connected ethnography carried out for 5 months. From the results of the research, the Akademi Berbagi Movement is one of the forms of the birth of civil society. The movement that combines online and offline has provided the context, validation and attachment of more participation by volunteers in carrying out social movements, thus giving birth to what is called 'online social movements'. This also complements the concept that Nugroho (2011) refers to as "click activism", with the case of the movement raised in this study, social movements carried out on the internet exceed what is called click activism, and volunterism is done more than just being involved in movement online, but volunterism is also done in an offline context so that this movement is not just "click" but also provides real space for movement.

Abstract

This paper is a description of daily activities in private companies related to the social relations in workplace between employee, management, as well as consumer. Dyadic social relationship is built based on the construction of agreement between individuals in that organization. The interaction which happened in the construction of agreement caused social relations that occur in certain period. The quality of social relations depends on how is the content of that agreement, which is certainly guided by values and norms that had been agreed. Therefore, agreement that established sustainably in dyadic social relationships caused a clique. This clique manifested in agreement, a similarity in thought and feeling in the activities either in the workplace or outside. Moreover, there are other parts in organization interactions such as an act of talk about the negative things of others, which make that people feel disturbed. The gossip could be in a negative labeling form which is given to an individual or group that caused a disharmony in social relations. The methods of collecting data are observation, in-depth interview, literature study and documents. The research results show that clique and gossip in a company workplace are closely related to the harmony and disharmony of workplace, also contribute in the performances of employee in particular and company in general.

Abstract

E-Government merupakan suatu upaya yang dapat mengembangkan penyelenggaraan kepemerintahan yang dimana berbasis elektronik dengan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. E-Government ini sendiri dapat diartikan sebagai suatu penggunaan teknologi yang digunakan untuk mentransformasi kegiatan-kegiatan pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi dan penyampaian layanan kepada masyarakat. Pentingnya E–Government ini didasari atas kebutuhan pemerintahan yang transparan dan tuntutan oleh kemajuan zaman yang semakin canggih. Selain itu, E– Government dapat menjadi wahana pertanggungjawaban bagi pemerintah desa atas penyelenggaraan pemerintahan, sehingga akan tercipta pemerintahan yang lebih baik kedepannya. Namun pada kenyataannya, pengetahuan ataupun pemahaman mengenai E- Government pada daerah pedesaan masih sangat minim dimana salah satunya yaitu di desa Labuaja. Berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa pemahaman para perangkat Desa Labuaja, Kecamatan Cenrana mengenai E-Government ini masih minim. Hal ini yang mendasari program kerja dalam kegiatan KKN ini yaitu pentingnya pemahaman mengenai E-Government bagi para perangkat desa demi kelancara kegiatan pemerintahan. Hasil dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan ataupun setidaknya dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada para perangkat desa Labuaja mengenai E- Government.
