Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country because which consist of various ethnic groups, cultures, religions, and races. Nevertheless, Indonesia has a motto to unite these differences, namely "Bhineka Tunggal Ika". One of the Indoensian tribes is the Toraja tribe. The Toraja tribe is live in South Sulawesi Province and mostly domiciled in the Tana Toraja and North Toraja regencies. Toraja is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia. Currently, Toraja area has been inhabited by many people from various regions outside of Toraja. However, the Toraja people still adhere to the motto, namely "Misa' Kada Dipotou, Pantan Kada Dipomate" (United we stand, divorced we fall). The data collection in this study used the literature review method. The conclusion of this study is that religious moderation is very important to be implanted in a multicultural or heterogeneous place, especially in the Toraja tribal community. Moderation is not a new thing in Toraja society, but has been practiced for a long time. This can be seen from the motto "Misa' Kada Dipotuo Pantan Kada Dipomate" (United We Stand, Divided We Fall). In fact, this motto is part of religious moderation that can be lived by the Toraja people from generation to generation to maintain inter-religious harmony, which is coloured by many differences but all in one.

Abstract

Catholic Youth (OMK) is a categorical group formed within the scope of the Church. Young people belong to a productive age and have much potential. They are energetic, creative, dynamic, empathetic, and willing to take risks. These capacities make OMK the essential pillar that is expected to play a vital role in the Church. However, not all OMK groups have such things. Therefore, they need assistance and training. OMK in the Buntudatu Station has many but needs to give a role. It is because they are constrained by their unfamiliarity with participating in the Church. Data obtained from the field through questionnaires were analyzed through frequency tabulation. In analyzing the data, the authors use statistical analysis, namely calculating the frequency distribution to determine the percentage of each dimension measured. From the data processing results, the authors found that OMK at the Buntudatu station lacked a role in church activities due to a lack of training and assistance from competent people. It can be shown by looking at the dimension of involvement at a low frequency of 2.51 or 62.87%. In the aspect of mentoring, it gains 1.70 or 42.62%. This data shows that OMK is less involved in participating as a word reader in the Celebration of The Word of God due to a lack of training and mentoring.

Pope Francis' Apostolic Letter of Pastris Corde can be an offer in dealing with the current tolerance crisis. This research aims to examine the tolerance crisis in Indonesia and to build a theological reflection in the light of the Apostolic Letter of Patris Corde. The research method used in this research is qualitative research method using library research as a technique for collecting data related to the topic. Literature study is applied by reading, reviewing, and recording references or literature related to the subject matter. The results of the research were then written in a systematic and logical theoretical thinking framework. The results of this research show that the acts of intolerance still frequently occur in Indonesia, therefore Pope Francis through his apostolic letter Patris Corde invites everyone to imitate Saint Joseph in facing existing crises, including the tolerance crisis in Indonesia. The virtues of Saint Joseph that can be imitated are humility, love, peace, solidarity, and care.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) based on core values and student character formation at the senior high school level. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 157 students via convenience sampling. Instruments were validated through validity and reliability testing, with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.707 (P5 instrument) and 0.831 (character instrument). Regression analysis revealed a statistically significant positive association between P5 implementation and student character formation (β = 0.591, p < .001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.349) indicates that P5 implementation explains 34.9% of the variance in student character—classified as a large effect size according to Cohen’s (1988) benchmarks for behavioral sciences—while the remaining 65.1% of variance is attributable to factors outside the scope of this model, such as family environment, peer influence, and prior schooling. These findings suggest that the core values-based P5 project is a meaningful contributor to student character development. However, given the cross-sectional design and single-school convenience sample, generalizations should be made with caution. Future studies employing longitudinal designs and diverse school samples are recommended to strengthen causal inferences.
